The EXACT reason why common leftists want guns banned.

Not talking about the elite leftist policymakers and legislators, whose support for gun restrictions are SOLELY to enact total control over a vulnerable population and create a new class of serfs who won't be able to effectively resist future attempts to subjugate and harm them.

Why does the rank and file commoners, including celebrities and media figures who identify with leftist policies, support gun restrictions and even outright bans? It is because many, if not most of them lack mature adult emotional regulation and coping skills when dealing with everyday stresses such as rejection, insults, and arguments. They outright admit that if they HAD access to a gun or another weapon in the course of a work related argument or disciplinary action, they WILL use that weapon to harm and kill those around them, indiscriminately. They KNOW that they cannot control their impulses, and lack the emotional maturity that enables the rest of us to handle life's common issues like functional members of society, so they want an omnipotent nanny state to do it for them.

Disgraced former CNN primetime anchor Chris Cuomo, a leftist gun control supporter and brother of also disgraced New York State governor Andrew Cuomo, openly admitted to having thought about "shooting and killing everyone at CNN" when he was fired from the media giant two years ago for defending his governor brother's notorious sexual misconduct:

Life is not all sunny days and pleasant skies. Every second, every day, we are being tested. Arguments, relationship conflicts, job and workplace difficulties, financial woes, etc. Some have it rougher than others but everybody faces them at one point or another. Millions upon millions of mature and functional people pull through, look for results, use problem solving skills to resolve the issue and establish solutions agreeable with everyone, and continue to build and proceed onwards. NEVER do they ever think that using a weapon for no reason to inflict harm, and mass harm and terror is an acceptable fucking reaction. NEVER. Not for those who identify themselves as leftists and "progressives" though. They cannot control their violent impulses and cannot function in life and tackle everyday issues like millions of other functional adults, so they want to take away EVERYBODY ELSES' freedoms and means of self-sustenance.

Maggie’s Saw my first UAP!!!

I have never seen or believed the whole "i saw a ufo" thing...at least until today. I was taking the kids outside at 6:30am to load them in the truck for the ride to school. One of my twin girls (5 years old) said" look daddy an airplane". I just blew it off and said "thats great". Then she hits me with this "I didnt know airplanes can fly backwards". That got my attention I looked up. There was a bright dot moving across the sky from NE to SE however there were no flashing marker lights which seemed odd. Then the damned thing freakimg STOPPED and then backed up a rather significant distance before.moving forward again. I ran back into the house an grabbed my vortex binoculars, once I found it I noticed there were actually 3 objects flying in a triangular pattern, the two smaller objects were more faint and not visible by the naked eye. I tried zooming but all I could see were the bright lights. It was truly bizarre. North Central WV btw The cell pic I took just shows a bright dot 🙄

Michigan. Next in line...

I remember speaking a few years ago to an FFL in MI that doubted any major change in gun laws in their state. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Well, as usual, don't let a tragedy go to waste.

I'll say it again: gun owners are lazy (absent) voters.

I've talked to nearly 20+ people at a local range event about upcoming legislation (anti 2A) in our state, NOT ONE of them knew what I was talking about. One didn't even know about laws that were pass nearly 1+ years ago at the 11th hour and proceeds to tell me they haven't voted in over 7 years. WTF.

Easiest cartridges to load for

Going to be selling my unfired Tikka 300 wsm barreled action soon. I feel like it's too much gun for what I'm doing. Kind of an impulse build.

This would be for a bolt gun.

Wondering what cartridge one would choose to load for? Looking for easiest load development. Possible. Would use the cartridge to hunt whitetail, black bear and possibly bore. Also, just plinking and shooting for groups from the bench. Max shots would be 500 yards. Majority would be between 1-400 yards. I currently hunt with a 6.5 grendel. Shot a deer last year at 300 yards and killed it, but penetration was not good at all. Also, have a 6br, but it's heavy as hell.

Any recommendations?

Confusing 6ARC AR15 Gas Issue After Switching to Rifle +1 Barrel

Hi all - I have a confusing issue that I'd like some guidance on. Getting conflicting answers from the internet and the people I've talked to.

I bought a CMMG Endeavor 300 (never again) in 6mm ARC. The barrel was trash and so was the upper, so I quickly got a new upper and a Proof Research 20" stainless barrel. New barrel shoots lights out. The rifle has an adjustable gas block. Originally the rifle had a rifle length gas system. The new Proof barrel is a rifle +1 gas system. It has a Magpul PRS 3 stock with a rifle length buffer & buffer spring - NOT a carbine length.

It cycles fine with factory ammo, and with LeverEvolution & CFE223 handloads. These produce......acceptable accuracy, but nothing great. I've had much better luck with Varget and 8208XBR for both accuracy and consistent velocities. The results are seriously impressive and I'd like to continue with those loads. However, those loads won't cycle the rifle, even after I load a high enough charge that I see concerning pressure signs. They will eject the spent brass, but won't send the bolt carrier group back far enough to load the next round. The AGB is wide open and is not restricting gas. They will work fine when the barrel is suppressed. And no, I don't really want to "just shoot suppressed all the time, bro."

I tried reducing the number of weights in the buffer, but nothing happened. The guys at Proof said I needed to try a heavier buffer spring before drilling a larger gas port in the barrel - and not a lighter buffer. They said a heavier spring will increase dwell time and thus allow the lower pressure powders to build up more pressure.

A tech at Brownells said "No, that's wrong - a spring won't do it. You need a heavier buffer. But sorry, we don't offer a heavier rifle length one." So I talked to Clint at HeavyBuffers.com and he recommended shortening the buffer tube to a carbine length buffer tube with a spacer, then installing his heavier carbine buffer and spring.

I'm getting tired of sinking time and money into this with no clear answer.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Is there a simple solution to this that I'm missing?

UPDATE Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023:

I removed my 5.5 oz rifle length buffer, installed a spacer to shorten it to a carbine length buffer tube system, and had the following results with the adjustable gas block wide open:

-(UNSUPPRESSED) Heavy buffer and spring combination from www.heavybuffers.com (6.4oz buffer) at the recommendation of the guy at Brownells: Ejected, short stroke, failure to lock back or to load the next round.

-(SUPPRESSED) Heavy buffer and spring combination from www.heavybuffers.com (6.4oz buffer) at the recommendation of the guy at Brownells: Ejected, successfully loaded the next round.

-(UNSUPPRESSED) Buffer spring and H1 buffer that came stock with my Daniel Defense DDM4V5. Assuming spring is a standard carbine spring. Ejected, short stroke, failure to lock back or to load the next round.

-(SUPPRESSED) Buffer spring and H1 buffer that came stock with my Daniel Defense DDM4V5. Assuming spring is a standard carbine spring. Ejected, short stroke, failure to lock back or to load the next round.

Surprised this one did not work suppressed.

TL;DR, problem persists and was not overcome.

Next steps to try in the coming week:

1) Replace gas rings on bolt

2) Try a JP silent captured buffer spring with the spring kits of varying strengths, and

3) Try my H1 buffer with a Sprinco yellow spring.

If none of these prove satisfactory, and if no other viable solution presents itself on this forum or in my brain, I'm sending the barrel back to Proof for gas hole enlargement.

UPDATE 2/21/23

-Installed new gas rings on bolt. Ensured gas block was wide open. Test fired. Failure to load next round; failure to lock back on last round.

-Installed JP Enterprises Silent Capture Spring system. Test fired. Failure to load next round; failure to lock back on last round.

-Installed JP Enterprises reduced power spring (white). Test fired. Failure to load next round; failure to lock back on last round.

-Bore scoped barrel; confirmed that gas block is properly in line with gas hole.

At this time, I believe I've exhausted all likely options, and I don't think the Sprinco reduced power spring will yield any wildly better results than the JP reduced power spring.

Therefore, I will pursue opening up the gas hole and report back.
