this jerkoff Southwest CEO

i dont watch the news other than when the girl turns on the local weather. two times i seen this fucking schmuck piss and moan about "this is unacceptable".

really? and how exactly does this fucking zero think it got that way? these fuckheads seem to think that being CEO means taking the huge salary and sitting on tv refusing to take any responsibility for the clusterfuck that is; as a direct result of his imcompetence. this guy is a complete fucking dud.....just like 90% of his fellow ceo's

Sniper Hose

Today I go to type in Snipers Hide, only for the phone to do its typical spell check routine of changing words that are already spelled correctly.

My phone changed it to Snipers Hose, and down the rabbit hole we go.

Basically in German Snipers Hose refers to combat pants, and in flecktarn camo pattern of course.

So got to thinking 🤔, let's do a Google search for Flecktarn Lederhosen to see if such a thing exist, and this is the closest thing I could find.

I think any well respected Hide members should be sporting a pair of these. And of course @TheGerman should post pictures of him wearing them.

And by chance, If you're Scottish, then by all means go with these...

And if you think you're not worthy of wearing Lederhosen, then drinking a few of these will change your mind.

What reloading equipment kits would you recommend for someone getting started at under $1000?

So like many people before me, I'm interested in learning how to do my own loads for various reasons. I'm thinking what I will do is begin with a decent baseline kit that has all the equipment I need, then as I gain more hands-on experience, start switching parts out that meet my particular needs better. I shoot mostly .308, but I have a 6.5cm rifle that I might drag out of the closet again one day, and I'm interested in at getting a .300WM or .375 CheyTac rifle at some point in the future.

For what I'm willing to spend and what I'm trying to get for my money, I'll be willing to go as high as perhaps $1000 (excluding dyes and ammunition components) for the right kit, but I'm aiming for something around the $400 to $500 mark. But what's more important than the price is the quality - if one kit will give me a whole lot more bang for my buck than some other kit, then I'll be happy to spend the extra money for it. I've always believed that solidly intermediate equipment is the best starting point for anything, and that's my aim with learning to reload as well.

After searching for kits online, what I sort of have my eye on right now is this thing, but before I ordered it I thought I would ask here if it's a kit that would fit the bill for what I'm after, or if there's some other place I should be looking. Also, in stock is important - I want to get everything I need ordered and in hand before reloading suppliers get slammed by people prepping for Spring shooting.

What should I do with my mark 5hd?

Hi guys,
I’m newer to the precision rifle world amd after a year with my rem 700 in a McMillan a3-5 I bit the bullet and ordered a zermatt/bighorn origin barreled action from pva, but this is about my scope.
Iv currently got a leupold mark 5hd 5-25 with a pr1 moa reticle. I want to get more into prs style/ tactical shooting and I like the looks of the pr2 reticle, and I want to make the switch to mils. Iv currently got my scope up on the classifieds to trade my pr1 moa for a pr2 mil scope. Should I ,
1. keep it up and hope to find a trade
2. Sell It and buy a used pr2 mil mark 5
3. Buy a used pr2 mil and keep my pr1 moa and build a hunting rig I definitely don’t need but always talked about
Or 4. Sell my mark 5 hd and put the money towards something like a zco 527.

I just don’t know how much I’ll benefit from something like a zco at this point in my shooting “career” and I probably won’t ever try to compete seriously so it’ll all just be for fun/ shtf anyway.

Any suggestions?

The Official Unofficial Annual Horrible Christmas Gift Thread. Now with prizes and unwanted insights into your life.

I see @Bender already stepped up in my absence. However that thread just seems to lack everything from horrible stories to people making fun of their plight and horrible life decisions that got them to that point; because let's all be honest, Christmas is the litmus test for just how poorly you've chosen literally everything up until this point.

There is a physical prize I will mail you for worst gift.

A few rules:

- Gift cannot be some dumb bullshit like 'I got nothing' or 'I got chlamydia'; unless it's from another dude because then it's just hilarious

- I have to not hate you.

- Visual aides are both appropriate and desired

- We need the full story so don't just give us a 3 word sentence about socks

- Bonus points if someone went to jail (3x points if it's you)

- Bonus points for partially naked wife/Gf pics.

So far Bender is in the lead because it isn't nice to give someone a fake AR that was made out of the metal from a bunch of kosher sardine cans.

Remington 700 identification? Mountain rifle?

Hey everyone, I bought a rifle from a guy yesterday and its a .25-06 700. Ive always wanted this caliber and this one was unique. It has a detachable magazine and nice wood stock with the raised comb. Got it with two mags too! He said it was a “mountain rifle”? Serial number starts with a D. Does anyone know what I got exactly? Value? Thanks

Sierra problems

Have heard rumors that Sierra screwed over some of their contract customers, like Black Jack and Tubb, to name a couple. Curious to hear any relevant details confirming the rumors to be true or false. Did they kick these customers to the curb? Causing Blackjack to go out of business. Did they have major production flaws, like shipping incorrect bullets out? I’m a Berger loyalist but have always held Sierra in high regard. Considering dropping Sierra from consideration for any future purchases…

LRF for very short distances

I am looking for an LRF for very short ranges. Mostly to ensure my "100 yard zero" is exactly that, or at least know if I'm off.

I really only need to range 100 yards or so. Not looking for future proofing at all as everything/everywhere I shoot recreationally is known distance.

What are the lowest cost options that will do it accurately?

Sig Kilo 1000? etc?

Thanks all
