Optics Tangent theta tt525p gen 3xr

Looking to sell my tt. I bought it new 2 years ago. Used it in one PRs season and it’s been setting in the safe for the last year or so. The turrets are the only thing that show any wear. This came from getting bumped in the safe more than anything. Glass is still perfect. 3650 f&f Venmo or cashiers check if we can’t manage to meet up. Aimpoint Acro p2 and Aimpoint t2 will lower the price if u can produce either of those or both.

Why the VA?

In remote areas, I can see having a seperate VA facility. But in areas that already have numerous hospitals and docs, why the duplicative facilities, docs, nurses, etc.
Why not let vets go to the facility of their choice and send the bill to the government.
Is TBI really different if you got it from an IED vs a car crash? Is PTSD different if you got it from combat vs childhood abuse?

What say you?

Using our Power.

We've speculated as to why these people snap and go on killing sprees, generally writing it off to 'mental illness', but that doesnt really answer any questions as to 'why' or how to deal with it.

When I was 50 years younger I was a very angry, violent, dangerous, young man and came within a hair of 'going postal'. Fortunately, or unfortunately according to your view of me, a true miracle occurred and Maggot is still with us.

I wont go into my own personal struggles but rather what I learned in unraveling them . I believe I might shed some light on why these things happen.

Im not speaking of times when two idiots collide, like the two in Texax (Chad and Kyle?) fighting over visiting rights. Thats just a couple of morons intersecting

The reason people do these things, and I believe the same energy causes all this transexual and other sickness we're facing, 95% of the time boils down to one thing. Poor self esteem, AKA, self hate. Somebody, somewhere, somehow, or a confluence of events, caused this person to see themselves as bad, perhaps evil, undeserving of value. and respect Doesnt matter if it was Mommy emotionally abusing, or Daddy being a violent asshole, or uncle Joe doing a bit of diddling with the children, ar a bright kid being abused by stupid thugs. they feel dirty, worthless, frightened and dreading the future. I finally realized Its like a blackness on your soul, and there's no just pulling yourself up by your boot straps. Try to imagine the horror hating yourself enough to even hate your own gender. Have you ever done something that you were ashamed of or really embarrassed by? Remember how awful and dark your soul felt? Imagine that multiplied by 100 and no relenting, no rest. That being is truly and deeply damaged and in a lot of pain. At some point all that pain just explodes. Sometimes people just destroy themselves in suicide or sometimes they turn the blame out and take it out on others.

When it reaches that level I'm not sure that any traditional type therapies can deal with this sort of stuff. I've come to think that when some are so deeply wounded in the soul, other non physical entities are able to attach themselves and feed on that pain and suffering, even stirring it up to cause more to feed on. Remember the story of the boy that Jesus healed who kept throwing himself into the fire? In the past they were at times called demons. Doesnt matter what you call them, but It takes power to deal with those entities and reason alone generally doesnt get you there, it takes a higher power. It is available. When our hearts are clear we can access it, but only if you know you can. For those who love and follow Christ it is our heritage. Prayer is a beginning. Then putting on the whole armor as mentioned in: Set us pray for, and fight spiritually, the forces fighting to destroy our country and liberty. We have a powerful group here and already have on prayer thread, but I'd like this one to take a narrow focus. I'll bump this everytime one of theses things happens and feel free to bring it up. It take a focus of power. DC is full of this demonic poison and a good place to focus.

Ephesians 6:10-18

==================================================================================

New International Version

The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

With this thread, and in conjunction with 'The Prayer Request Thread' I speak power to the break of the demonic force that is fighting to take control of our country and government. I know there are many churches doing this, but brothers, Ive seen power in this place, lets use it. Everytime one of these events occurs Im going to bring this thread up, and anyone who joins me is free to bring it up at any time.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I reckon if Frank of the Mod's feel this in appropriate they can remove it, but its the only answer I've found to whats going on.

If you dont share our belief, please at least be respectful

Zeiss LRP S3 or Leica PRS? (For PRS)

Foggy matches are obscuring steel after they get the paint beat off of them. Its time for an upgrade and my two highest priorities are clarity/contrast of the image and accurate turret tracking.

I have known a few bird watchers that swear by Zeiss and Leica for optical clarity so I have been seriously thinking about these two scopes. The zeiss seems to get good reviews and is cheaper MSRP, but the Leica can be had around the same price if I'm patient.

Has anyone had any tracking or durability issues with either? Anyone have direct experience with both and want to weigh in on which one they like more?

I am coming off of a vortex pst II that I think is giving me tracking issues, so either scope would be an upgrade. Whichever option I buy is going to be with me for a long time so I want to make sure that I select the best scope for PRS style matches and abuse.

22LR ammo for NRL22?

Picked up a Savage B22 last fall, mainly because I like MDT chassis, have two others for my PRS rifles. Looked at the Ruger but couldn't find one in stock anywhere, did find a deal on the Savage. Have over 7,000 of 22LR in the safe, mostly CCI Mini-Mag and wanted to put in some range trigger time without burning through my 6.5CM stock.
Zeroed the gun last fall at 50Y using the CCI Mini-Mag ammo and was very happy with ten round groups repeatedly punching a single jagged hole. Built a rack of NRL22 swingers from 1-1/2" down to 1/4" and could run the rack down to 1/2" every time, 1/4" was a sometimes.
Our local club started doing NRL22 matches this Spring for the first time. Hung out at the match Saturday to get a feel for the stages and CoF. Several stages were 40Y to 100Y, multiple targets. Tank Trap, all at 100Y.
Now for the problem. Yesterday, Sunday I went to the club to gather dope for the rifle at 100Y compared to the 50Y zero. Shots were all over the place! Might get about four out of ten on zero and rest would be high, low, right, left, all over the place, about 2"+ groups. The CCI is 40g rated at 1,250 FPS but I haven't chronoed the stuff yet for actual. Rifle is 18" barrel with 1:16 twist. The only thing I can think that would be causing the dispersion might be the shots going subsonic at 100Y?
Have about 1,100 rounds of WinX which is rated at 1,300 FPS but haven't tried this stuff since yesterday. Is there any advantage of going faster and stay supersonic or just look for ammo in the subsonic range? Seems 1:16 isn't a lot of spin for higher velocities.
Been shopping for different ammo with limited results. Norma Match @ 1,083 FPS looks pretty good without breaking the bank but the only place I could find is directly from Norma. Midway shows discontinued? SK Match ammo is unobtanium, Out of Stock EVERYWHERE. Eley looks good except most options rated further than 50M are almost .50 per round.
So what's a good 100Y 22LR ammo that is actually available and somewhere in the .20 +/- range?

Welp wife needs a new job

Wife was reading to students today (7th grade) a book on civil rights

She read the word that shall not be named

Students ran to the office to 'rat her out' (She emailed administrators immediately) and she is now the teacher that said the n word in under 2 hours.

Bonus: it was a John Lewis memior about civil rights.

Should be a fun ride. School is primarily rural so it's mostly white and hispanic.

Rookie looking for opinion on my first bolt action gun

Hi,

I don't know what to buy as my first bolt action gun...I want my gun (6.5 creedmoor) to shoot reasonably accurately and to reach 1200 meters...that's the longest shooting range in my country. But the problem is, almost nothing is in stock in my country... it's hard to get something good...

So guns in stock are:

- Bergara b14 wilderness terrain (24 inch) for 1300eur
- Sako S20 for around 2200eur
- Sig sauer cross born and raised (stainless steel 24 inch contour barrel...) for around 2200eur
- Savage 110 elite precision 26 inch but it is 3200eur = 3500 USD so I think it is overpriced)
- tikka t3x CTR for about 1800eur

In looks I like the sig sauer the most, but I couldn't find any reviews, videos, or comparisons. So I don't know how it shoots compared to other guns.
Bergara is I think the most bang for the buck but I fear how it shoots on 1500 yards for example.

any suggestions on what to buy?

Thanks!

SOLD Gothic Serpent Colt 723

sold This is a type copy of the Colt 723 as used by SFOD-D in Operation Gothic Serpent, and as portrayed in the movie "Blackhawk Down". This gun uses a Colt Carbine Lower with all Colt fire controls and parts. It is a large pin lower and comes with the spacer. The upper is all Colt A1 with a Colt bolt carrier group. The barrel is pinned and welded at 16" and is aftermarket, as is the front sight. The paint scheme is as portrayed in "Blackhawk Down" and as the "Hero Rifle" in Larry Vickers' book, "Ar-15 Part 1". The gun is equipped with a near mint and fully operational Aimpoint 3000 as discussed in Vickers' book as the sight used by SFOD-D. The Aimpoint has a rare factory detachable polarizing filter that can be adjusted for any light condition. The gun is also equipped with an original SureFire 6p light with red flip-up filter and pressure switch. The light has been modified with a pressure switch in the same way as those used by Delta. The pressure switch was custom fitted by Delta armorers as there was no commercial model available. This light has been similarly modified with a one-off custom fitted pressure switch and sealed with RDX, like the Delta models. Since this is a rare $400 flashlight, I have included the original parts and the light can be returned to its original condition, if so desired. Two original Colt magazines are included and have been taped together in the method used by Delta during the operation. This gun is not just a showpiece, but a gun that is fully combat ready...you can bet your life on it. This gun is guaranteed by myself and can be returned FOR ANY REASON, within one week, for a full refund, less shipping. I have never had a rifle returned. This gun will be going up for auction tonight on GunBroker, but I am offering it early for Hide members for a price of $2500 shipped to your FFL. I expect the gun to go for $3k. Once the gun receives a bid it must be purchased thru Gunbroker. By buying from me thru the hide you don't pay tax and I don't pay commission...win/win. Watch a function test of the gun firing four different brands of ammunition, without a hitch, below. The video was taken in one go...not multiple takes or edits.

Old Member Back

Well been probably a decade or so since I was here. My old user name was Zebra 644. To give you an indication the Viper Skins for the AICS was just coming out and MEGA 10 was hottest in the semi auto .308 platform.

I learned a lot from the guys here and at that time I had a Armalite Super SASS and a Remington 700 in a AICS chassis think I bought the chassis from Mile High?

Had a lot of things happen since then. I am still a LEO but I was hit by a car on a traffic stop so no more SWAT after that can’t run like I used to best run time is a 3 mile run in 36 minutes on the treadmill mill now twice a week. So I sold off all my equipment and well after the times have changed I think I’m about to get back into the 308 game. I’m looking at more recreational style 2-500 yard and just to have a decent bolt gun just incase.

I wanted to see what the general consensus is with the Bergara B-14 HMR specifically the wilderness with the spiraled bolt and muzzle break. I don't like the Sig Cross and I’m iffy with the Ruger Precision. The You Tube gun guys say a lot of positive about the B-14 HMR. I can not justify a 300 win mag as I’ll probably never ever shoot the distance and I don’t reload. The plan is to use decent equipment such as an atlas bipod, a FFP Vortex or the likes a good mount and rings.

A custom rifle starts with a custom barrel

I'm going deep into building a big budget custom .22 LR rifle. I want to compete in .22 LR venues. My philosophy is always to build the rifle around the barrel, then the action, then everything else.

Disclaimer: I own a .22 magnum with a Lilja "match" barrel. It shoot's lights out at 50 yards. That makes me somewhat biased but not so much to stop looking for the best of the best.

So, I started looking at Olympic rifle data in .22 LR. If anyone knows about .22 LR barrels it's the Olympic guys. We're talking about bragging rights, not just for an individual, but for a whole freaking country...

So, I went looking for the most recent data I could find for barrels used in the Olympics. There were only three rifle manufacturers in the last Olympics. Anschutz was kind of a distant 3rd, and one rifle stood out.

Here are the links:

Shooting-Zhang sets rifle 3P world record, Quiquampoix wins rapid gold

China won the 3P in 2021. Zhang broke a record for the 3P (Positions) 50 meter event. But, he did this with a Swiss made rifle made by Bleiker, a $10,000 rifle. Look at the brand name on the rifle's action here:
https://www.reuters.com/world/china...tle-defence-25m-rapid-fire-pistol-2021-08-02/

And the barrel? "All Bleiker rifles use Lilja Precision Rifle Barrels that are made in Montana": - go down the article to the Bleiker Challenger II heading
https://gundigest.com/article/oddball-rimfire-rifles

I'm definitely letting that sink in a bit...
