Firearms PVA John Hancock rifle 6.5CM SPF

I have a PVA John Hancock rifle in 6.5mm Creedmoor with a 26" barrel, it may have 10 rounds through it from being zeroed and has been in the safe ever since. Bought it as a spare rifle for friends who wanted to try shooting at longer range and it just never got used. Does not include the brake but I’ll leave the hellfire adaptor on if you would like it.

Well now it’s time to move so I’m downsizing asking $1775 SPF OBO shipped.

Full rifle details

  • New receiver developed in conjunction with American Rifle Company. The center of the John Hancock is the new 3-lug NUCLEUS® receiver branded for Patriot Valley Arms.
  • The NUCLEUS® highlights include:

    • o 100% CNC controlled cutting of all barrels
    • o 100% gaged and inspected for threading, headspace and chamber profiles
    • o Proprietary match chamber specifications from Patriot Valley Arms’ championship winning rifles are integrated into all John Hancock barrels.

The next obvious questions revolve around chambering selections and that answer includes more industry unique offerings. The John Hancock is available with barrels in the following calibers. Barrel lengths are posted next to the caliber. The 6mm barrels are 1:8 twist, the 6.5's are 1:8 and the 30cal is a 1:10 twist.

Optics Razor LHT 4.5-22 MRAD

In really good shape other than the elevation turret screw. Spoke with vortex today and they said they would send a complete new elevation turret if needed. Done hunting with this for the year and trying to fund a thermal, would consider partial trade with cash on my end for an Iray Bolt tl35 or AGM adder.

Asking 1200 shipped with rings (rings not factored into cost because I got them for free)

Christmas spirit?

Where does one find Christmas to be more than purses and fulfilling some type of self-worth complex by trying to purchase/receive your way to happiness? I have some money, I ain't rich by some standards but I have done pretty well. I also have a lot to be thankful for and feel blessed. But these days it seems all this buying is just to buy, trying to prove how much someone means, or cares...or trying to justify worth, and value.

That somehow it washes away the dirt, at least temporary, until of course the newness wears off. Perhaps I am being overly cynical, and the path to happiness is in the next Amazon package? I am not saying gifts are wrong or whatever, but that Christmas has devolved, even just in my lifetime, to some Uber-marketed, hyped-up spend-fest.

And ya, ya Salty...where you been the last 15 years while fuckers be beating each other over the blue-light special flat screen TV? Idk, maybe it's a culmination of factors, but man...that old Christmas spirit, doesn't seem to shine quite as bright anymore.

Question for the guys with experience in .22 cal projectiles....

I have been running a .223 AI with a 88 ELDM over 26.2gr of Varget at about 2940 fps for about a year now. I am almost out of the ELDM's and wanted to know others experience with that Bullet vs the Berger Hybrids in 85.5 or even the 80.5gr. I shoot this rifle PRS style as practice and local club matches out to 800yds on the regular. We do get some 1000-1100 yard mixed in from time to time. I hear the 85.5 is better for what I am doing?? Does anyone have the Applied Ballistics app that could run hit probability on those different bullets for me or have first hand experience shooting all of them? I enjoy shooting the rifle and its fairly cheap when you factor in barrel life so I dont mind spending a little extra for the Bergers if its a upgrade. The Bergers were nowhere to be found when I worked up this load originally. Thanks in advance!

Well they did it…….

as the doj is owned by the Democratic Party I don’t expect a favorable outcome…..

SOLD FREE: Broken Forge 15x Binos

These are BROKEN Forge 15x Binos. They fell off a tripod and need a new Prism. They were already evaluated by Bushnell and deemed irreparable. Bushnell instead offered a replacement set for $389.99.

Basically, these are still usable, but you can definitely tell the focus is wonky. They do not resolve targets clearly and your eyes take a minute to adjust to the image.

I have the original packaging, all original accessories including the bridge mount, straps, harnesses, etc. that can be included.

I was incensed with Bushnell’s “warranty” and certainly won’t use them for future optics purchases. However, understanding that they did offer a replacement set at a somewhat discounted rate, and the fact that someone may still able to use this current set, I’m offering these (along with the replacement info/offer) to anyone willing to pay cost of shipping.

TL;DR: these are BROKEN and getting trashed by the end of the week. Pay shipping and they’re your’s.

I need to procure a lightweight hunting rifle for next year, what would you pick?

With an Idaho trip a mere 10 months away (counting the days) and me having sold my very nice defiance/proof 300prc hunter months ago like a dummy, I am now in need of another lightweight hunter. I was at first torn between 300wsm and 300wm but I think I've settled on 300wm. The rifle I'd really like to have is a Seekins ph2, but it's a little more than I'd like to spend and finding them in stock in a good color can be a challenge-

A friend of mine is always pushing Tikka, and I know they make great rifles. Would probably be the Tikka t3x lite veil-

https://www.sportsmans.com/shooting...land-bolt-action-rifle-300-win-24in/p/1702049

I also just noticed Howas carbon rifle (carbon stockys stock at least) and it seems like a nice option-

Those are just 3 I'm considering. I'm keeping my eye on buy/sell/trade for something to pop up as well. I'm open to other suggestions as well. Looking for threaded, 300 winmag, ~7lb.

Any tips progressive eyeglasses wearers and scopes?

I am looking into purchasing my first scope and after getting behind two scopes (I know one of them as a Leupold), binoculars, and a spotting scope, I noticed some issues when I was shooting several weeks ago...

1. Cheek weld and visual clarity because of my progressive Len with my glasses. I find myself trying to look at the bottom of the lens.
2. Being that it was my first attempt looking through the glass with various devices, the image looked slightly blurry and pixelated?

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated

A I barrels

Hi everyone thanks for the break.
I know that mostly the consensus is positive for AI rifles, i want to break it down by what is the main why they are. I recon myself that it is the barrel being the object of
scrutiny here, so how many types in manufacturer do they use and what are the thoughts on these.
I shoot a Howa 1500 heavy barrel with GRS stock, slick trigger, compared to buddies with AI's they group better 90% of time , part of it is poss me but id like to kick this
barrel thing about.
Thanks.
