My google failure may be illsutrated by this thread . . . .

I have a DSMS AP4 308. It has worn a Leupold HUNTING scope for a while.

The Scope has been placed on a HUNTING rifle.

Looking for a proper scope set up for a General Purpose "Battle Rifle."

My thoughts go toward ACOGS as this 308 easily makes hits at 300 yards (16 inch barrell).

I am looking at the TA11j-308 (3.5 fixed power w/ tritium reticle) (this one has the range markings for 14-20 inch barrelled 308s).

Eye relief is good good for shooting up close (but not door kickin' SWAT raids close).

Any thoughts? Have looked at nightforce 2.5-10s, but not "thinking" about "designated marksman" optics.

BTW-Usage is some hunting, plinking, and Carbine Classes. Reagan was president when I was young enough for all the fun stuff.

I thought i would like the quick detach feature and move my scope around often. I don't. If that was it i would probably just keep it, but now i am trying to out a parallax wheel on my scope and the levers get in the way.

Have LH Tikka magnum action and want to build a LH 6.5 CM. Have had no luck trading for Standard action or bolt. With the correct bolt stop, can I make the magnum action feed 6.5 CM? I already hace a Tikka pre fit and LH MTD inletted for Tikka

I am mounting a Premier Reptiles 5-25x56mm Tactical scope on a DTA SRS A1 rifle. I have a 34mm DTA single piece mount. I have read opinions both ways on the subject of Blue Loctite and I am still wondering if I need to use it if I torque the 6 screws on each of the two scope rings to 20-25 in/lbs. What is your advice?

Hey all, trying to collect info on the various options for a one-step trim/chamfer/deburr step, with a very strong preference for something that indexes on the case rather than a stop-collar like on Forster, LE Wilson, etc. Below are the ones I'm aware of, are there any I'm missing that'll do it all in one operation?
