    trigger question

Re: trigger question Hard to argue with the Timney. I have the 4 pound, and I like it a great deal. I prefer single stage, but YMMV. Regards, Matt

I gave bad information on recoil lug slot of AICS

On the thread "Surgeon/AICS 2.0" http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1604983#Post1604983 I stated: "The slot for the recoil lug on the AICS is pretty generous. I can't remember exactly how wide it is, but it is substantially wider than a standard R700 lug. If...

rem 700 xcr tactical long range.

Re: rem 700 xcr tactical long range. I wouldn't count on much more than $150.00.

    Surgeon/AICS2.0

Re: Surgeon/AICS2.0 The slot for the recoil lug on the AICS is pretty generous. I can't remember exactly how wide it is, but it is substantially wider than a standard R700 lug. If need be, I could measure it again for you. I would be surprised if any of the robust aftermarket lugs didn't...

    Bell and Carlson stock question

Re: Bell and Carlson stock question I have one and like it a great deal. I originally bought an HS Precision, but sold it because the palm swell didn't suit me. In my view, the B&C Light Tactical is every bit as good as the HS Precision, and it costs a bit less. Good luck

remington question - which is best?

Re: remington question - which is best? If it were me, I would go with either the XCR or Sendero. I have the XCR, and I like it a lot. I'm sure I would like the Sendero as well. Both are stainless, and that's why I put it ahead of the police model.

Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40 for a dedicated Rimfire?

Re: Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40 for a dedicated Rimfire? I have the same scope, and frankly, 10x is too much for ground squirrels at 50-75 yards (at least it is for my eyes). The lack of focus is a problem, as is target acquisition if the squirrel is moving. I ended up replacing it for my...

    Thank You Tony KIdd!!

Re: Thank You Tony KIdd!! "I would be happy if it cost twice as much." Darn, why does everyone have to say this? I like my VQ trigger group, but have been thinking about a KIDD for a long time. You may have just cost me some bucks. Enjoy your new 10/22

    .223 Bolt Gun Build

Re: .223 Bolt Gun Build My SPS Tactical (with factory 1-9 barrel) shot best with .020 of jump with 52gr SMK. I've read that the SMK like the jump. I wouldn't worry about jump and running the same re-loads through an AR-15 and a bolt gun.

New Hogue vs B&C Medallist vs HS Precision

Re: New Hogue vs B&C Medallist vs HS Precision Before I got my AICS, I had an SPS Tactical in a B&C with a Bushnell 50mm objective scope. It worked just fine with Burris medium rings, no Karsten needed. So you might be fine with just the stock.

Want to build Custom 10-22 help

Re: Want to build Custom 10-22 help In my view, if you go the cheap route, you'll only end up building another (just like I did). My last build: Tactical Solutions receiver, VQ trigger group and VQ barrel, B&C stock. It's an amazing set up. Unless you have sons (like I do), don't skimp...

    .223 Bolt Gun Build

Re: .223 Bolt Gun Build I love my 22 inch Krieger #17 (Heavy Varmint) in 1-8 twist. I'm sure it won't stabilize the 90's but it works great for 69's and 77's. Hope this helps.

New trigger and bedding on my SPS

Re: New trigger and bedding on my SPS I don't have any experience with the Rifle Basix, but I'd be willing to bet that it will be a HUGE improvement over the X-Mark. I just had a Jewell installed, and the difference is amazing. Good luck.
