Re: Rock River 20" varmint I have the LAR 8 20" Varmint, Vortex PST 2.5x10. Mine shoots better than me. Very happy with the whole setup. People say you can get more for your money by not buying a Rock River. I don't see how.

Re: RRA LAR-8 and Scope Mounts/Rings I have a LAR 8 A-4. I mounted a Vortex Viper 2.5x10, got my mount from Primary Arms. Check with them their mount works just fine.

Re: 1903a3s and 1917s The Springfield 1903s above 800,000 are double heat treated. This cause a glaze to form on the wear areas where the bolt rides. One of the smoothest actions you'll ever cycle !

Re: M1903 SRS Reese, the Remington 1903 were contracted from 1941 to sometime in 42. Your barrel is likely original. After that Remington was building the 1903A3.

Re: M1903A4 Remington 1943 The Bushmaster 03s from the Canal Zone supposedly were never returned to the States but were supposed dumped into the ocean at the end of the war. I don't think one real one has ever been documented post war.
