Re: Rock River 20" varmint I have the LAR 8 20" Varmint, Vortex PST 2.5x10. Mine shoots better than me. Very happy with the whole setup. People say you can get more for your money by not buying a Rock River. I don't see how.

Cool new find- Old Browning .22 takedown rifle

Re: Cool new find- Old Browning .22 takedown rifle You've got a real beauty there. Clean it sparingly, cherish it and shoot the hell out of it ! One of John Browning's most elegant designs !

    1903a3s and 1917s

Re: 1903a3s and 1917s The Springfield 1903s above 800,000 are double heat treated. This cause a glaze to form on the wear areas where the bolt rides. One of the smoothest actions you'll ever cycle !

    1903 Springfield vs 1917 Enfield.iu

Re: 1903 Springfield vs 1917 Enfield.iu It was Alvin York not Albert. He made a comment once about using an English rifle. His unit was issued 1917 when they got to Europe but no hard evidence that he didn't procure a 1903. The controversy continues. The 1903 ruled the range in her day and...

    M1903 SRS

Re: M1903 SRS Reese, the Remington 1903 were contracted from 1941 to sometime in 42. Your barrel is likely original. After that Remington was building the 1903A3.

    M1903A4 Remington 1943

Re: M1903A4 Remington 1943 The Bushmaster 03s from the Canal Zone supposedly were never returned to the States but were supposed dumped into the ocean at the end of the war. I don't think one real one has ever been documented post war.

Are SA tactical shotguns good for trap and skeet?

Re: Are SA tactical shotguns good for trap and skeet? The 18" barrel 870 works just fine on the skeet field. Once you get the hang of it, the short barrel 870 is deadly on skeet doubles and especially so on station 8. Just shoot the normal 1200 fps rounds and remember to swing so that you...

Maggie’s My local Pawn Shop is full of stupid.

Re: My local Pawn Shop is full of stupid. " FYI: The Sportsman Series was made 1984-1987 and was just before the 870." The 870 was introduced by Remington in 1950. By the early 70s they'd sold 2 million of them ! Maybe you meant the 1100 ? The Sportsman series was built between 1956-63. The...
