    Re: 1903a3s and 1917s The Springfield 1903s above 800,000 are double heat treated. This cause a glaze to form on the wear areas where the bolt rides. One of the smoothest actions you'll ever cycle !

    Re: M1903 SRS Reese, the Remington 1903 were contracted from 1941 to sometime in 42. Your barrel is likely original. After that Remington was building the 1903A3.
