    Quenching after annealing?

    Is it necessary to quench brass after annealing? I recently built a annealing machine using 2 torches. On Hornady .308 brass 4 seconds is getting a melt on tempilac at 700 degrees. Does it need to drop into water or will air cooling accomplish the goal? Thanks in advance for any info.

    Any truth that AI mags fit the Ruger Scout rifle? Thought I had seen somewhere that AI mags fit and Ruger mags work in the DBM's made for the AI mag. Anybody know for sure?
