    Suppressors suppressors and barrel length

Re: suppressors and barrel length Some do and some do not increase FPS. It depends on how tight the bore is on the suppressor. There are several factors that come together. Barrel Harmonics Barrel Droop Freebore Boost Barrel length and profile combined with these factors determine the effect.

Suppressors WTK: Blackout w cast bullets & leupold scope

Re: WTK: Blackout w cast bullets & leupold scope The 247 NOE Boolit is more dense than a jacket bullet. It is much more about getting a projectile that works well in AR magazines, feeds properly, has good terminal balistics and at the same time, casts well.

Re: WTK: Blackout w cast bullets & leupold scope Question 1 They used the Sierra 220 SMK @ 1,035fps Question 2 Cast subsonic bullets that are the propper hardness and properly lubricated, will not cause any ill effects. I run a 10" Noveske in 300 BLK with a TBAC 30P1 and 247 grain cast...

Federal Gold Metal Match Brass Q

Re: Federal Gold Metal Match Brass Q As said by others, FGMM brass is just plain soft. I don't even bother picking it up and processing it. LC LR brass is my choice. The only down side is slightly reduced case capacity due to it being so thick.

Re: Laminate your form 4? Quick funny on why I laminated my first Form 4... So, after four plus months of waiting for my very first Form 4 to clear, I get my hot hands on my suppressor. The very next day, I take the ORIGINAL Form 4 to work to make a high resolution scan of the document...

    Suppressors Laminate your form 4?

Re: Laminate your form 4? I made HD scans of all Form 1 & 4s. Then I laminated them all and used the HD scanned images to make laminated wallet cards. If it ever came down to it, any LEO could contact the BATF&E with my name and case number to validate. FWIW, I have never had anyone...

Maggie’s Insane Fishing Ship Footage Video

Re: Insane Fishing Ship Footage Video I heard some other Coasties chime in, but most guys with any sea time in the Pacific or Northern Atlantic have experienced this first hand. For me, it was cool for the first couple hours, after that, you just want it to stop... Fortunately for me, I don't...

    magnifiers

Re: magnifiers One thing to remember with a magnifier, you are also magnifying the size of the reticle / dot. With an Aimpoint type site, that dot covers quite a bit of the target.

    shooting tracers

Re: shooting tracers 1-9 will not properly stabilize the 62 grain tracers. The 1-7 twist barrel was specified because the 62 grain tracers are so long. If you want to shoot tracers, pick up some of the older 55 grain ones.

    7.62x39 AR platform

Re: 7.62x39 AR platform The issue with the magazines is the straight section of the mag well on an ar. No matter what, the 7.62x39 will bind if they do not maintain a constant curve. The only way to effectively deal with this is to have replacement mag wells for the lower. At that point in...

    7.62x39 AR platform

Re: 7.62x39 AR platform It is a really bad idea. The biggest issue to overcome is getting a weapon that is designed to run rimless ammunition to run rimmed ammo. The geometry causes tons of problems. The best choice for someone that wants 7.62x39 performance in an AR platform is the 300 BLK...

    ORAL IV

Re: ORAL IV I was at an event this past spring and a couple folks had some serious hydration related issues. Another participant busted out the Oral IV and hooked them up. It was effective for them. I have not tried the product personally though.
