I just sighted mine in with a 45moa rail, ended up with 32 mils of elevation. Murphy Precision is going to make a 63 moa rail for my rifle so I can squeze every mil out of the Atacr. My goal is to have 100 yard zero be 1 mil off the bottom and have 36 mil of usable elevation (required for...
Looks good. The only two things I might do different on my rifle is use better quality rings ( NF, Badger Seekins etc) and maybe a lower ring ( personal preference). There are plenty of tutorials on scope mounting. Get the right tools (torque wrench, level, plumb bob or feeler gauges )and...
Do you really want a reticle that is only good for one caliber and one specific load? In my opinion you are better off with a reticle that is flexible enough to be used on any rifle you might own. I like the MLR 2.0, but he Moar, P4, MSR, MLR and MIL R would work great as well ( just too name...
I can answer the recoil lug question. You will be fine with the stock recoil lug. Some of the bigger aftermarket lugs do not fit (my Badger recoil lug was to tall, the width was not an issue) If you have an aftermarket trigger you will have to have the trigger well opened up a little. Stock...
I like the extra elevation travel in the 8-32 nsx and yes, the zero stop is very much worth having. I had the 12-42 and it was a very good scope, it just ran out of elevation around 800yards.
Which reticle are you using? I really like the MLR 2.0, however for my needs I find the standard mlr and the npr1 are way to thin ( especially in a 3-15x).
Not that I think it is the issue, but maybe you should reconsider your action if the rail is that far out of level!? Personally I would level off the rail and get to shooting!
I shoot a right bolt left-handed like you. My RH Gap has an RH Ax chassis and it fits me perfect. Having had both the Ax And Aics I much prefer the Ax ( although honestly both fit and worked just fine ).
