Gunsmithing Savage 7mm Problems with pics - Help!

Re: Savage 7mm Problems with pics - Help! Thats tough. The spread on the second group must be around 6". I don't think that the torque on the action screws could even cause that much of a spread. Have you checked that the barrel nut and barrel are still tight?

We should buy a Chevy Volt

Re: We should buy a Chevy Volt I realize that the paper doesn't have really anything about thermodynamics in it. It was just a small part of a homework assignment and I thought it was hard to apply anything we have learned yet in class to anything to have to do with the cars other than what...

Re: We should buy a Chevy Volt Here is a paper I wrot for my thermodynamics class on the subject. The main difference between the Nissan Leaf and the Chevrolet Volt is the face that the the Nisan Leaf is all electric, While the Chevrolet Volt has a small gasoline engine. This gives the...

    Gunsmithing Rem 5R extract issues

Re: Rem 5R extract issues I put one on one of my 700s and its not too bad, the set up is tricky and I had to use all carbide tools. I think it took like 1/2 an hour to do the actual work on the bolt, not including the time I spent making the jig I used to set it up in the mill.

Rifle Scopes Counter Sniper scopes Review/Test

Re: Counter Sniper scopes Review/Test I think what they are doing would considered fraud by false advertising. They claim all those features that are not true at all. Yesterday I was listening to Gun Talk Radio and this guy called in and said that he had 2 of these scopes and couldn't figure...

    Fat barreled Mosin Nagant build.

Re: Fat barreled Mosin Nagant build. Good luck with your build, the Mosin Nagant isn't the easiest thing to re barrel due to the extractor cut. Also that Greenmountain barrel doesn't have a large diameter, make sure that it is big enough for your aplication

    Fat barreled Mosin Nagant build.

Re: Fat barreled Mosin Nagant build. .020 In my opinion is excessive for accuracy, but what technique did you use to find this number? Without machining the extractor cut after fitting the barrel to the action I think there might be a chance that there might not be enough room for the...

5R Long story. Need some insite please?

Re: 5R Long story. Need some insite please? Just to make sure I'm not confused, the problems started happening right after you put the Nightforce on? Did you shoot it at 100 and then at 300 with the Nightforce or did you put it on and go straight to 300?
