Re: Twist rate question - 1050fps vrs 2600fps MV if the pill stabilizes in the subsonic, it will stabilize in the supersonic. go with that thought process and you'll do well. some bullet skins are thicker than others, so you might have to play with supersonic combos.
Re: Minimum barrel lenght to stabilize 243 they chamber .243 Win in the xp-100's, which can be anywhere 14-15-16" barrel length. Plenty accurate at 300yds. just loud as hell.

Re: Transitional Rifling? I think the theory is it more brings the rotational velocity of the projectile up to 'speed' more gradually as it drives thru the length of the barrel. Therefore creating less stress or upset on the projectile itslf.
