Re: need help with 1911 about the only 1911 frames with an integral plunger tube are Caspians(special order) STI, SVI and Para Ordnance. All others are staked
Re: need help with 1911 could be the plunger tube itself, I've seen the shoulders inside the tube cut deep enough to allow the plunger to protrude far enough out
Re: Over/Under really hard to break. Please help! if it has ejectors, when you break it open after firing you're re-cocking the ejector hammers in the forend. Never hurts to apply a small amount of grease on the engagement surfaces as well
Re: Rolling Block Question The Argentine rolling blocks more often than not have an octagon section of barrel at the receiver and are marked as such Modelo 1879. Could be that it is another South American contract piece. Best thing to do is have your 'smith make a chamber cast. Much too clean...
Re: CPAP users? My experience, I've had a cpap for 8yrs now. Sleep study showed that I would stop breathing for 45 seconds to a minute. So used to the machine now if I don't have it I wake up like I've been underwater gasping for breath, not fun

Re: 1911 Hammer follow when empty Check your sear spring pressure as well. If there isn't enough pressure on the leg to the back of the sear you can also have follow. As a general rule it's not a good idea to drop the slide on an empty chamber on a 1911 that has had trigger work due to the...
Re: No Media Flow in Sandblasting might sound stupid but make sure there's nothing stuck in the pick-up tube. I had a piece of tape stop the flow of media
Re: Scattergun Technologies/Trijicon 870 Sight Install you're more than welcome to send it to my shop and I'll install the rear sight. I have the original fixture for it
Re: Taming Recoil on A 1911 Question I run 18.5 springs in my 5 inch guns, recoil isn't bad. Might thing about an EGW flat bottom FP stop to slow everything down just a bit
