optics

I am looking at vortex 6.5-20x50 viper. Anybody ever used them. I am building a .300 WSM savage with a McM stock and bull barrell. I will mainly be hunting with this gun, and target shooting. I am on a budget, so it is down to this scope or a Bushnell 6500 elite. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I've heard good things about the Falcon Optics Menace 4-14x44FFP as a good entry level FFP option. Anyone make a BDC knob for this scope? I tried Kenton Industries and they replied that they don not make a knob for the Menace at this time. Thanks!

Given the huge advances in China it seems reasonable that they can make very high quality scopes. At Shot Show 2 years ago that was clearly not the case, the Chinese optics were a large step below the rest. Things change, anybody know of any good stuff? Ross
