Finally after break in Im able to get shooting! 100 yards light breeze. Nemesis Arms .308 with Nightforce 5.5x22x56 scope Only second time out with the rifle, I feel after a few more trip to the range, this rifle will be a tack driver extreemo!
Anybody seen this, is this worth the cash just for entertainment purposes? http://www.impactguns.com/store/711669903525.html Yes, It's true... Tubb shoots a target at one mile... and then he does it again and again... no luck here. And, no he does not shoot from a benchrest position, he...
When did the snipers role go from One shot, then retreat.. to engaging multiple targets? Is it the resent war in Iraq that changed the focus of the snipers role? Now we see more rifles with magazines or semi-automatic ones.
I picked up some lead shot to fill my HS Precision stock up before replacing the recoil pad. Is JB weld strong enough to hold the lead shot in there if mixed together?
I am looking for any one that has knowledge on these. Are they a good action? Are they worth the money? Any and all info would be nice. And would something like this move easily on today's market? Thanks, L.
Over the past several months I have been building up to reload, having never done it I was really nervous. I watch the RCBS DVD and watched ol Jim Scouten show me how its done. I read both the Speer and Sierra realoding manuals, and have been on this thread more time than I can count, that...
Had a hellova time last weekend on a dog hunt in western Kansas. 3 of us reaked havock for 2 days on a monster of a dog town. I pulled off an incredible shot folks. 760 yards, 223 w/ 50 grain V-max. Had a 10-15 MPH right to left wind. I had my 64 minutes of angle on my scope pegged out and was...
I have an AR15 with a Burris XTR-14. I have it sighted in at 200 yards. When I try to shoot out at 500 yards, it seems to be all over the place(8 inch group). But I can shoot a 2" group at 200 yards and make the same hole bigger at 100 yards. I was shooting 62gr. M855 and had the rifle rested on...
I have a 223 Rem 700 that I built from an old Police/tactical back in 1998/1999. It was used when I got it (someone made it into a position gun with a position stock and match sights). I full length bedded the whole action into a Zero laminated tactical stock (Bisonite bedded). The action and...
.308 SPS Tact. 20" barrel 1:12 twist rem brass CCI 200LR primers IMR 3031 (for now, it was available) Sierra 168 gr HPBT 2.800 OAL in a 2.980 COAL I worked up a load using an OCW method. The particular method I chose started loads at 10% below max working up 1% at a time until max is reached...
The 243 my son shoots the throat is shot out. I have seated the bullets out to 2.970 to get them to group again. That is about as far out I can seat the bullets with the case trim length. How many more rounds do you think until that is done?
Latest hand-load turned out to be fairly decent. Fired from Accuracy International Arctic Warfare in 26". .550" - .308" = 0.242" total Win Brass WLR Primer 43.4 gr RE-15 175 SMK 2.8 OAL Light Taper Crimp Finally, these were shot in the pouring rain.
I'm actually a little impressed with myself. Out of the 20 rounds I fired at a 6" X I had: 7 - X hits (one of which was dead on tits center) 10 - 10 rings 2 - 9 rings 1 - 8 ring Not too shabby for my first time out at 600 yards. With my current loads I am about 19.5 MOA of drop at 600 yards.
Does anyone know of where one might find a single shot 77/22 mag? Or if there is a way of modifing a 77/22 mag to be able to put a single round on top while mag is seated in the rifle instead of placing one directly into the barrel chamber. Similar to Benchrest or Silhouette. Any pictures or...
