I'm basically stuck with one of these as I own a ruger M77 mark 2. (unless someone knows of another) PTG is aluminum and Ken ferral's is steel. I've heard some issues with quality on the ferral base and a lot of guys don't like aluminum. Its going on a 7mm-08 so wont be subjected to a lot of recoil. both need to be drilled and tapped for 8-40 screws. Oh, also the PTG is around $40 and the ferral is $130 ish. my thoughts are the PTG because is so much cheaper and I've never had an issue with PTG stuff so far. any thoughts would be great.

I have a Ken Farrell 20moa base on an AI. Good quality piece. Did not have a lot of options for the AI.

Nothing wrong with Ken Farrell products. The base was a little taller than I wanted, but hell for stout!
