not sure this is the right place to post so here goes......

i'm going on a whitehouse tour in the morning and plan on wearing my snipershide hoody......my wife says i'm asking for trouble, whay say you? good chance i'll see/meet michelle serious opinions

Re: whitehouse tour?

My opinion....

I would respect the White House as if President Reagan was still the president. Just because the current administration is shit, I still respect our Forefathers.

Re: whitehouse tour?

i don't intend to disrespect the whitehouse in any way at all....and have had some good chats with capitol police about their hardware on the hill.....i think Reagan would think the hoody was sweet.....its a casual tour so its that or a UA fleece, no down dress with the hoody

Re: whitehouse tour?

I don't get this Reagan worship. He was an active supporter of gun restrictions in both CA and the rest of the US.

It was Governor Ronald Reagan of California who signed the Mulford Act in 1967, "prohibiting the carrying of firearms on one's person or in a vehicle, in any public place or on any public street."

Twenty-four years later, Reagan was still pushing gun control. "I support the Brady Bill," he said in a March 28, 1991 speech, "and I urge the Congress to enact it without further delay."

Far as it concerns me, the myth is better than the man and Reagan isn't fit to polish the shoes of the Forefathers.

Re: whitehouse tour?

event....that was well spoken and i agree to a certain extent but he was the last man to whole-heartedly stand up to unions, fight communism, and have the balls to stand his ground on nukes, refusing to make America #2 in anything....i think his opinion on the brady bill was jaded by the gsw

Re: whitehouse tour?

I've had political words with EventHorizon on another site. His politics are weak and he derails threads in an attempt to make his points. He's one of those self proclaimed "internet smart guys" that attempts to regurgitate hippie rhetoric.

If you think Reagan doesn't measure up to the hype then good for you. I could post 100 links to political annalists that agree that Reagan was a revolutionary political giant.

To Eventhorizon: I have disliked you ever since we had a debate on another site regarding Marxism and Socialism. I don't know why I have never put you on ignore but that was my bad. I deal with hippies like you at work all day long and I ignore them. I don't know why you get to me so bad, but you really piss me off. I guess I just drop my anti-fuckface guard when I come home to relax on a gun site.

Anyways,
Cheers

Re: whitehouse tour?

really didn't intend for this post to be a political convo, just wanted to know if y'all thought i should wear the hoody tomorrow or if you think it is too brass in the whitehouse

Re: whitehouse tour?

HAHA! Sorry about that Ugadeer....that was probably my fault for even bringing up a president.

I agree with you....if the tour is casual then I'm all for the hoodie.

Yeah, ok, I'm the one derailing a thread with personal jibes and whining like a yeast infected pussy because my internet relaxation time is ruined.

I contend that you don't know your politics from your ass, and in fact, this quote from you proves it:

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Bowman</div><div class="ubbcode-body">100 links to political annalists</div></div> -some fetish of yours?

If you can contradict anything I've said on this thread about Reagan and his support for restrictive gun laws then you can call my politics on this weak. Otherwise, tough shit mate, you're as inept in this thread as I'm sure you were on the other (which I cannot even remember because let's face it, you make no impression).

Cheers!

To the OP: In response to the unions issue - that's mostly a State matter and in the State where he was Gov. - CA - we are as ruled and being ruined by public unions and idiotic welfare rules as is possible. However, that's not his fault, no Gov. has stood up to unions and I'm sure neither will the doofus who's in charge here now. I will concede that he was a good counterpart to Gorbachev and led the negotiations very well.

I doubt you'll get any grief on the tour. You will be noted I dare say and probably put on some secret squirrel watchlist so if that's not something that means anything to you professionally or personally then hey - get a picture and post it!

Re: whitehouse tour?

If I were going on a tour of the White House, I'd wear a coat and a tie. But you wear what you want. If you're not in the Secret Service database, they aren't going to care what you wear. Actually, they won't care even if you are in that database, but you might get treated a bit differently, irrespective of your clothes.

Re: whitehouse tour?

i asked about the dress code...ie: offered to wear coat and tie....was told it was casual to wear jeans.....by a 4 star so family and i are wearing jeans....guess i'll update tomorrow...probably end up siding with wifey but ya never know

Re: whitehouse tour?

Get the sniper's hide logo embroidered on your coat pocket....everybody wins! lol

Actually, I was just joking....but I would definitely buy a SH tie tack or cuff links if we had 'em.

I think you gave LL an idea to start his own clothing line.

Re: whitehouse tour?

I hope you wore the hoody. Its not disrespectful to wear what you support and maybe it will show that people with brains still support gun rights.

Re: whitehouse tour?

My opinion on clothes is that they don't reveal how much you respect or disrespect others. They reveal how much you respect or disrespect yourself. Up to you to decide if that sentiment is in favor of the hoodie.

Re: whitehouse tour?

Im in LEO... I see NO disrespect in the hoody at all due to it being a casual event.

My understanding by SNIPERS HIDE was the reflection and admiration of NOT only a sport..... but also those that have fought and gave all for this country in an event that allows us to have the freedom to enjoy the sport that we do with friends.

I say wear it with pride... If they ask.... tell them its in honor of those we have loved...lost...and still live on to protect this country and others that protect her.

Re: whitehouse tour?

I realize you're on your tour as I post this but aren't elected officials supposed to represent and be representative of the general public? Yes, I know that's BS but the idea is still there. So I say wear whatever you want. I would personally love to see a pic of you wearing your SH hoodie in the White House.

Calling government workers drones hardly merits any kind of retribution.

Re: whitehouse tour?

I have friends who work at the White House - and are on this web site.

Not everyone who works for the government, or the White House, is a "drone".

Well no harm meant, Lindy obviously you missed the satire. Don't sweat the small stuff.
