Stock is in overall good shape. It was bedded for a Remington 700 before I bought it here last year. I opened the barrel channel to accept an m24/m40 profile barrel. I did the paint job on this. Handpainted camo finished with a grippy clear coat. It's not cerakote but it should at the least age gracefully in the field. McMillan does not make these anymore.

I rebuilt my AR308 recently with a new Wilson Combat Super Sniper 20" barrel. I have a superlative arms adjustable gas block, Surefire RC2 can, JP Enterprise silent capture carbine buffer. Balistic Advantage upper /lower and Midwest industries hand guard. So far with this new barrel I have around 60 rounds fired.

With cheap 147gr ammo I tuned the gas block to eject at the 4o clock position (cycles like it should)but when I shoot 168 FGMM or 175gr Prime I'm ripping the case rim apart with the extractor. I've tried adjusting the gas block to be 3 clicks open and same thing happens. With the 147gr ammo I'm 7 clicks open. I only shot 3 rounds without the can and it did the same thing with the Prime ammo. Do I need to get a heavier buffer and higher weight spring? Live ammo will cycle manually from the mag and eject when pulling the charging handle. It's almost like it's trying to unlock while still pressurized or the brass isn't shirnking back quick enough after being fired. Any guidance is appreciated.

I am wanting to find the best scope to pair with my Seekins .300wm. I’ve looked at all the optic brands you could imagine. I have kinda narrowed it down to the Zeiss S5, ATACR 7-35 and SB 5-25 which are all FFP. I know ZCO and TT are as good as it gets but they are also just about expensive as it gets. I haven’t really heard anything about the S5 but I hear good shit about the other 2. I know it’s a hunting rig but I still want to push out to over 1000 yards one day just bc I can. Hey all, I’m looking to sell my 6.5cm carbon fiber waypoint. I’ve had the rifle for about a year and have been thoroughly impressed with its performance and accuracy. I have had consistent .5 moa from most factory loads I have used.

Even with a heavy Arken optic on top, this rifle is extremely light weight and has performed excellently out to 1200 yards.

I have about 150 rounds through the rifle and it has been well handled and well maintained. It has a few minor wear marks from field use.

Buddy and I went out and mowed around our props last night. Standing in my driveway looking north we were watching a couple big thunderstorms. I saw 2 white lights fly into it. One from south to north and the second from the west to east, one went into the storm and then the second one followed. I'd been watching satellites and shooting stars since 9:30. The balls flying into the thunderstorm happened a little before 2 am. I watched the ball fly out of the thunderstorm, make a sweeping turn and go back in. The second one would be coming out just a little after the first one and do the same thing. We watched the white balls go in and out somewhere between 8 and a dozen times. At one time I thought there were 3 at once.
I looked up ball lightning, that's not it. The lights do not seem to be from planes because they did not blink, and landing lights would be pointed in the direction of flight, these were almost lit up like bright satellites.
So... Aircraft? Aliens? Angels?
Anbody have information on planes flying into a thunderstorm early this morning? Looked like it was pretty straight north. Looked at the compas and map and looks like it could have been in line with Tinen, Beeville or Kennedy.
