Just installed an angular tool box on my 14' utility trailer. It's about 2'x3' and 2ft tall. Now to fill it but I'd like the SH team to help me ensure I don't forget something important.

Have opportunity to clear some land of hogs in Florida, right now I own a PVS14, and a 27. Never used either on hogs yet, was looking to add a Thermal either clip on or stand alone. Current budget is $4500. The drawbacks on the NVG is muzzle flash and quick second shots can be issue, also exposure to white light will kill NVG shit dead. Options are keep my gear and add thermal, or sell off 27 and add $5k to thermal budget, still have the 14 and lasers.

I’ve been hanging onto this in case I want to build off of it, but don’t see that happening anytime soon. This was originally a custom rifle built by TS customs. Barrel is mostly shot out so I popped that off. Does not come with a trigger. It’s a lone peak Fuzion TI medium length action with magnum bolt. Bedded into a McMillan A3 by TS customs. Impeccable bed job. Comes with medium length bdl bottom metal, mag box and spring; I believe it’s Hawkins bdl. As mentioned, no trigger, no barrel.

All is in good shape. Action has around 800 rounds of 7 wsm on it. A few love marks here and there but overall good shape.

So in 2 days I get my new FN scar 20S, .308. I have already picked out and purchased my long distance optic. I chose a Sig Sauer Tango6 5-30x56mm. I think I'll be happy with it. I'll update after using it. So my question is, one intention of this weapon is protection at closer ranges like coming up on a bear or cat in the mountains. I'm not sure what type of optic makes the most sense at what I would think we're ranges of 0 to 100 yards. Thanks in advance for any help here.

Fixing to enter the handloading world once I get all my equipment in. I always seem to come across the hornady ELD-x bullets and always at a lower cost than others. Is the hornady eld-x bullets any comparison to like the partition or TTS bullets? Right now I have a few boxes of factory hornady 143 gr eld-x rounds for my 6.5 prc right now actually , not many other choices in factory ammo for that though.
