My Boomstick

I have an aero precision AR-10 in 6.5 creedmoor and added a vortex venom 5-25X56 on a one piece 20 MOA vortex base
My second upper is a .308 upper that is built on a standard upper from ar15.com with a 20” ballistic advantage precision match grade barrel. Both uppers have an A2 style flash hider (for now but I have to try and convince the wife why I need to spend money on “stuff for that gun”). I am not a fan of the handguard on the .308 upper may have to change that in the future, but it works for now it is a narrow profile handguard I thought it would be okay because I was saving weight but my big ole hands just dont like it.

Colt bolt action rifle

Didn't see this covered in the threads. It appears Colt is producing a bolt action rifle. Chamberings offered in 308 win, and 6.5 creed. MSRP is $1899. From looking at the article. Seems all proprietary other than the chassis. Nothing mentioned about interchangeability. Doesn't seem like itd be worth $1899 when you can do a custom rig for a few hundred more.

Rifle Scopes Strike Eagle vs Primary Arms vs SWFA

Trying to narrow it down between these 1-X scopes:

Strike Eagle is on sale at Optics Planet

Primary Arms reticle is my favorite of the three

SWFA is made in Japan (maybe?) and I like the knobs but not crazy for the reticle

I'll buy whichever the Sniper's Hide peanut gallery says is best, not going over 300$ though (it's a budget plinker rifle)

Who has upgraded their 10/22?

I own a 10/22 that I don't shoot because it's not particularly accurate. Usually I would sell the gun in this situation, but will not because I inherited it from my grandfather. I am now looking into upgrading the heck out of it to make it into a super accurate lightweight plinker (he used it to hunt squirrels so I want to be true to what the gun was used for by him) . Here are my questions:

  1. Kidd (ultra lightweight or lightweight) or Volquartsen (carbon fiber barrel) or something else?
  2. I am looking at a KRG Bravo stock, is there anything else I should be considering?
  3. I expect to upgrade most of the Ruger parts to Kidd parts. Are there any parts made by Volquartsen (or anyone else) that are better than the Kidd version that I should be considering?
Thanks all.

Firearms 6.5 SAUM Proof Barreled Action

1.PTG Action
2.Proof Research Carbon Barrel w/ thread protector.
3. Timney Calvin Elite
4. 150 rds of Hornady Brass with primers
5. 68pc of once fired brass
6. Redding Bushing dieset

*stock, scope, rings, and brake not included

Don’t shoot it anymore. It has 68 rounds through it and it shoots like a laser. Unfortunately I don’t have time to do my own reloading and the guy that used to do it for me moved out of state. Will come with 150 rds of new brass that just has primers. NOT LOOKING TO SPLIT IT UP

I am an FFL so it will go to another FFL.

$1800 Firm Shipped.

Is my car worth your life? Hell yes it is................................

So today's pissing and moaning is about the new favorite thing to say when Pookie Ray got's capped while robbing da whitey. Pookie Ray momma say, Dat's my baby and hizzzzz life is worf mo dan yo car,,,,,,,,,,dats muuuurder. In the 'hood the new bitch is that your property is worth far less than the piece of shit felon's life, therefore you should let the piece of shit rob, rape or murder you. No cops, no law enforcement and every crime becomes a death penalty crime when people are forced to defend themselves against armies of dregs.

I disagree. My car has value to me, I worked for years and years to get where I could afford a nice car, why the hell would I give it to some 13 y/o asshole? The 13y/o asshole drove a stolen car to the scene of the crime by the way. His school principle said he was a "Scholar" of all things. I'm glad people are shooting them. In Europe, they have made self-defense and defense of your property or against rape a crime. While some countries say you have a limited right to defend yourself, try it and see what happens. That is what the leftists envision for America.

I'm sick as hell of hearing about how sweet your piece of shit, robber, rapist, drug dealer, car thief or murderer was to his friends. He was a fucking scumbag, even at the ripe old car stealing age of 13 he was a scumbag. Croaking him now saves the country an easy $500K a year in damages and property losses. Over the course of a 40 year life of crime, that is $20,000,000 dollars we just saved. Hopefully he doesn't already have children, if not we saved millions on jail and welfare for the 21 shitheads he fathered and left wif day baby momma's. This was a public service, the guy should get a medal.

Kevin McCarthy: GOP Votes to Repeal Army of 87,000 IRS Agents as Its ‘Very First Act of the New Congress’

U.S. Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) celebrates while holding the Speaker's gavel after being elected as Speaker in the House at the U.S. Capitol on January 07, 2023 in Washington, DC. After four days of voting and 15 ballots McCarthy secured enough votes to become Speaker of the …

The Republican-led United States House of Representatives voted to repeal the billions Democrats desired to spend on an army of IRS agents, as House Speaker Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) identified the action as the “very first act of the new Congress.”
“House Republicans just voted unanimously to repeal the Democrats’ army of 87,000 IRS agents. This was our very first act of the new Congress, because government should work for you, not against you. Promises made. Promises kept,” McCarthy announced Monday night:
🚨 House Republicans just voted unanimously to repeal the Democrats' army of 87,000 IRS agents 🚨
This was our very first act of the new Congress, because government should work for you, not against you.
Promises made. Promises kept.
— Kevin McCarthy (@SpeakerMcCarthy) January 10, 2023
Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) also announced the GOP-led House’s move, noting that “every Democrat voted no.”
“Tells you all you need to know,” he added, as others also celebrated the first action of the new Congress:
🚨 BREAKING → The House just voted to repeal funding for Biden’s 87,000 new IRS agents.
Every Democrat voted no. Tells you all you need to know.
— Steve Scalise (@SteveScalise) January 10, 2023
Imagine being a Democrat who voted aganist defunding more IRS agents to protect hardworking Americans and small businesses from being targeted by the federal government.
Have fun explaining that one to your constituents back home.
COULDN'T BE ME!!

— Rep. Lauren Boebert (@RepBoebert) January 10, 2023
We WILL repeal funding for the Administration’s 87,000 new IRS agents this week.
— Rep. Nancy Mace (@RepNancyMace) January 9, 2023
Democrats have engaged in egregious spending and now they aim to pay for their reckless behavior by taking more of your hard-earned money.
— Wesley Hunt (@WesleyHuntTX) January 10, 2023
First act of the Republican majority: DEFUNDING 87,000 IRS Agents targeting American families
Proud to vote YES!
— Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸 (@RepMTG) January 10, 2023
Tonight I will vote to DEFUND the 87,000 IRS agents hired to go after YOU!
— Ronny Jackson (@RonnyJacksonTX) January 9, 2023
Indeed, Republican leadership fulfilled their promise to strip the IRS of the billions more for IRS funding. The $80 billion increase over the next decade had come under severe scrutiny, as conservatives warned that a fleet of IRS agents would target everyday Americans.
Congress initially passed the $700 billion “Inflation Reduction Act” in August 2022, a law which would not actually reduce inflation but grow government in a variety of ways, including expanding the IRS with $80 billion. Such action would make it a bigger agency than “the Pentagon, State Department, FBI, and Border Patrol combined,” as Breitbart News detailed.

During a December appearance on Jesse Watters Primetime, then-GOP leader McCarthy stated that the Republican-led House would vote to repeal the 87,000 IRS agents “on the very first day.”
