I have a Rem 700 SA manners t2a mini chassis, carbon wrapped. With Badger EFR . A buddy of mine took it upon himself to open the barrel channel to fit my sendero barrel. Just looking at the gun you don't notice, If the channel was painted black you probably wouldn't notice it especially with a sunshade. It could be bondo and painted for an easy fix. Will get better pictures if there's interest, just wanting to go to something lighter. If I had to guess on weight it would be about 3.5 to 4 pounds.

Let's Go Brandon

Just a quick rant here so take it for what it's worth. 🤑

So in the 2 years Biden has been in office, there's been lots of interesting things to poke fun of. Shitting his pants with the pope. Eyeballs exploding during debates. Falling down stairs and off of bikes. Wandering off during speeches and having to be led around by his handler/wife. Etc. The list goes on and on. So why the fuck did something as unfunny as "let's go Brandon" take the country by storm and become the official Biden meme? My Libertarian ass normally isn't one to tell others what's funny or not, but this is an instance where I will say that IT'S NOT FUNNY! How can you look at Biden falling off his bike in the slowest possible way and not think that's more funnier? I don't care whether you're 5 or 105, people falling down is ALWAYS funny!

Rant over....

RIP @trprecision

Wasn't sure where else to post the sad news, but Tyler, aka @TRPrecision passed away unexpectedly this past week. He will be sorely missed. Though I knew him only a couple years, he was a generous and kind man who really helped me and Laura get going in long range shooting. I'll miss shooting with him at PRS and rimfire matches on team TR Precision. Hug someone you love, it goes by quick. 😢

Chamber mop stuck in bolt body

I'm probably the only idiot who's ever done this, but while cleaning the inside of my Tikka bolt body with a tight-fitting (now I know too tight) chamber mob, the brass part of the mop snapped off and I can't seem to get it out. Even slim profile needle nose pliers won't go in far enough to grab the brass nub that's left and pull it out. I've tried shooting compressed air in through the firing pin hole, but it's just too jammed in there. Anything that will fit through the firing pin hole is generally too small and fragile to push with enough force to get it out. My other thought was somehow dissolving the cotton mop, but it would seem that anything I do that with will also potentially ruin the bolt. Any thoughts on my big dumb F-up?

Wait, where are people getting limited edition Crye pants from?

So I am an avid 'collector' of Crye pants even though I wear and beat the shit out of them. There are always 'rare' ones up on ebay for some insane amount, but occasionally I'll see a bunch of new limited run patterns show up for sale where people basically got them brand new and are flipping them.

Went on TacSwap and out of literally nowhere last week, there are BNIB Crye DCU combat pants and shirts all over. Before that, the only DCU pants Crye ever made were basically prototypes that sit on ebay for $2k a pair or whatever.

What is this faggotry, and how are these people getting them? Absolutely nothing about DCU pants on Crye's site nor on any of the larger Crye retailers.

Also, I've recently discovered UF Pro pants (which I initially thought were airsoft pants) and they make Crye look like Dickies.

How to transition from thinking in MOA to thinking in MILLs

I am going to begin participating in the NRL shoots in my area and would like to in the not to distant future also give 22lr PRS a try as well. Absolutely EVERYTHING I have read seen or heard is scopes in MILLs are used by over 90% of participants VS MOA for multiple reasons, simplicity chief among them.

I have been thinking strictly in MOA for over 30 years and would like to know if there is a methodology I can use to transition my thinking as simply and painlessly from MOA to MILLs.
As I am a complete novice when it comes to tactical scopes and have some but only minimal experience dialing for drop or wind deflection. This will also be my first endeavor into the world of tactical scopes or using the strata on the scopes reticle to make adjustments for drop and wind deflection.

My main issue is the distances to the targets in both NRL and 22lr PRS are listed in yards and if you have a scope in MILL/MILL and unless I am wrong, you will have to convert that distance into meters then figure your scope adjustments accordingly.
One other concern is I have yet to buy a scope for participating in NRL/PRS and will have to decide if it will be in MOA/MOA or MILL/MILL and need to make a choice.

If there is a good book on long range shooting that has a chapter on how a person use to MOA can transition to MILLs, please by all means someone tell me as I would gladly buy it to educate myself.

I realize there my be no other way other than to just re-learn to adjust a scope in MILLs but if anywhere on the internet would know I figured it would be here.

Appreciating the 'little things'.

I mean mayflies!.. Sitting in my deerstand last few days, watching deer, turkeys, and swarms of mayflies dancing in front of my window. This is Wisconsin in November. I'm not the greatest at identifying which species, but I believe they could be baetis(blue-winged olives), size #20 or 22. My window sits probably 16 feet above ground, but these critters seem to prefer to flutter and dance right in front of me, almost like they're trying to entertain. Need to appreciate the little things once in a while. or..often.

Precision Rifle Gear Amp annealer is ridiculously awesome

Well got to unbox and use my new amp today. Holy shit is this thing amazing. I was one of the idiots that thought the torch and the socket were “just fine” now I realize what a dumbass I was. If you think annealing is an important part of reloading then you need one. If you think it’s to much money then sell a pistol, a car he’ll even your wife! it’s totally worth it. I got it set up in auto mode and rolled through 350 pieces of 6.5 brass like it was nothing and they are absolutely perfect and so consistent. Very impressed. Now I’m looking at every piece of brass I have and getting excited. Do I go for the five gallon buckets of 5.56 brass??? Don’t see why not lol. Anyway just thought when things are worth talking about they should be. Can’t wait to play with this thing more.
