SOLD SOLD: TigIR 6Z+

[Sold Pending Funds to LSUbeatUby40]

I bought this TigIR new in June 2021 from Btar21 (who got it from Preston at Strictly Offensive Kit), and have never had the opportunity to take it out for shooting.

In addition to all the normal accessories and manuals and QD Picatinny rail mount, this sale includes the 3x eyepiece (so that the TigIR can be used as a hand-held scanner), and a 42mm Rusan mount.

Market seems to be a little soft, but I'm in no particular hurry, so I'm only asking $7,500 shipped.

I would also consider trades involving either an EOTech CLIPIR-LR, or a set of Elbit F5032 goggles, but trade value would be closer to retail.

Optics S&B PMII 5-25x56 MSR MIL CCW

Well not sure what there is to say. These things are pretty much bullet proof, and the glass is still my favorite of all my scopes. Pretty much one of the best optics ever made, and it's hard to argue that point. Reminds me of some classic things the Germans have designed and made over the past 100 years that just plain work, like the Porsche 911, Tiger Tank, and the Messerschmitt bf 109, the PMII is right there. I wanted one of these forever. I got this brand new from EuroOptic a few years back. No ring marks, bell and body perfect with no dings or scratches, pretty much perfect sans some light rubbing on the parallax wheel, but it's so subtle I would have to point it out possibly, it's pretty feint. The Glass.... ohhh la la, is perfect. The Parallax is so accurate I can almost range estimate off of it. Overall this is a very clean example of the classic 5-25. She tracks so good it's insane, I have taken this out to 1400+ and she works perfect.

The buts... I have to pare down my collection and need some cash, so sadly this baby has to go to a good home. Buy with confidence, I have only ever sold top tier gear here.

Comes with throw lever, caps, and original box with manual,

Rings/level stay with me.
No Trades please.

Sako TRG22 Pre-2013 Poor Extraction/Ejection

Ok,

To put it simply:

I have a pre- 2013 TRG-22 that I had PVA put a Bartlein Heavy Palma on that is a tack driver. No exaggeration, the rifle can put bullets in the same hole as long as the operator does his job.

The issue:

The rifle has poor extraction / ejection when running the bolt. Especially, if you don't run the bolt like you mean it.

Question: Has anyone resolved this issue? (aftermarket spring kit, cutting coils from the extractor spring, sacrificing virgins with foot fetches @Enough Said .... anything.)

I've seen one thread on the hide ,that I can't refind, indicating, I think, that due to the change in cartridge from 308 Win to 65 CM you need to cut a few loops from the extractor spring.

HELP, this shit was pissing me off royally this past week with @Enough Said and @lowlight. (I shot well enough, but it could have been better without that issue.)

Precision Rifle Gear Frogg Toggs Durability

Having shot my last three competitions in either passing rain or bitter cold wind I've found myself wanting some lightweight, compact, 100% water and windproof rain gear I can keep in my pack at all times.

In theory Frogg Toggs are exactly what I want and are so cheap it should be a no brainer, but every review I've read suggests they durability is so bad after 1 or 2 uses they'll be trashed.

Is there something else comparable that is compact and lightweight but is more durable?
I don't need something breathable that I can hike in, just something to keep out the wind and rain as I stand out in weather most normal people would have sought shelter in.

22 Creed - Why isn’t it more popular?

Apart from barrel life, why isn’t the 22 Creed more popular? Any chance Hornady and others produce factory ammo in the next year or two?

It looks to be a low recoil laser with less than 6 MILs needed for 1,000 yds. It handily beats it’s 6mm and 6.5mm relatives at any reasonable range (given, there is less energy on target).

I asked because I had a 6 Creed that I loved but sold to fund another rifle. I’m now looking at a 6 or 22 Creed barrel for this new rifle but really want factory support behind whatever I choose. A MOD400BB blank wouldn’t really save money but would allow a single barrel to be used longer in either which is a plus for me

Hornady SUPERFORMANCE

I've only been shooting long range (1,000 yards) now for about a year. My rifle is a .308 with a 20" barrel. I've tried only 2 different factory ammos and stopped looking after I started shooting the Hornady SUPERFORMANCE 168gr ELD Match b/c it was unbelievably accurate out to 1000 yards (for me, anyway). After I got my DOPE set up for that ammo, I could hit the 1000 yd steel about 9 out of every 10 tries (usually on a sunny day with low/no wind). Because I wanted to get into handloading, I wanted to see if I could duplicate that Hornady load (and maybe improve upon it). I have the 11th edition of the Hornady reloading book and I was a bit surprised to see that they don't show the Hodgdon SUPERFORMANCE in their list of powders for the .308 168gr ELD Match bullets (but they do show it for 6.5 CM). Maybe they don't use the Hodgdon SUPERFORMANCE powder in their "SUPERFORMANCE" ammo?

Is anyone using Hodgdon SUPERFORMANCE powder with the Hornady 168gr ELD Match bullets in their .308 with excellent accuracy? If so, would you mind sharing which brass, primer and how many grains you're using? Any other info you'd be willing to share about your load development for this combo would be appreciated.
