Group drive-by hit carried out in PR

Everyone is armed but situational awareness is lacking at a birthday party at a Puerto Rican bar.

It appears the two cars of shooters are pros rocking Glocks with WISH FA sears. I wouldn't be surprised if they have red dots and comps because they make some accurate, controlled bursts.

Respect for the one victim that returns fire and never puts down his beer.

(Help) 7 SAUM barrel specs

Hey guys, my build is coming up on its "final" evolution. What I'm hoping for is a short action ELR rig. It doesn't really need to do anything else in this configuration.

Here's what I'm working with if that matters:
20211208_121137.jpg

As of now I have a 224v barrel and a 6.5 creed barrel.

What I'm wanting is a 7 SAUM. Don't really want to mess around with the Sherman's or anything. I'd like to use mags (even of the rest of the build makes no practical sense).

Where I'm lost is barrel specs and what to realistically expect.

-What do you guys like for freebore?
If 180's work in a SA can the lack of case capacity be over come with barrel length? Or should I settle for 168's?

-What barrel length is nessisary?
I'm willing to go up to 32" but I'm not sure if that's nessisary or would cause other issues.

I've got places to shoot, I'm sure I could max out what this could do. Let me know what you guys think. This is the last stop before building a 300 norma but I'd like to know if ELR tickles me first.

Good groups, Bad distance results with reloads?

Shooting 6.5 Creedmore new guy. 140g Hornady #26335 with IMR 4350 and wlrp. Lapua and Peterson brass. Groups at 100 yards at 0.5moa or less. Where the rub seems to come in is when I'm shooting at greater than 200yds. For instance, at 600 yards my groups looked great, but they were way low (2ft) and off to the right by 3ft.
I had been hitting the 13" steel plate with factory Hornady 140 g bullets with no problems at 600 yds and very close to the turret settings provided by a ballistic calculator. When I switched over to my good grouping reloads, I was way off as stated above. Roughly guessing I figure I will have to add 0.7 mils up and 1.8 left.
Understanding that different powders. bullets, primers, ect will give difference results, but should there be this much of a difference?

SOLD TL3 Proof Carbon 6.5prc barrel package 950 shipped

Barrel is 22" with approximately 200rds down it made for a TL3. It shot well for me with Berger 140 elites and Hornady 147 eldms. Overall it was around a 1/2 to 3/4 moa gun for me using H1000 and BR2s which is the the only components I had to use with it.

Magnum bolt face for your TL3 action.

100pcs of twice fired Hornady Brass

RCBS Matchmaster FL bushing die and micro-seater. There will be no bushing as I have other cartridges I can use it for.

I'm asking 950 OBO shipped for all of it, not gonna split it unless someone wants the barrel first.

SOLD Tangent Theta (price drop) OR Nightforce Atacr

Selling one of these scopes, don’t need both.
Tangent theta 5-25 with jtac reticle and has the new AIF turrets (locking turrets). The AIF turrets are awesome and $300 upgrade. I bought the scope new in Sept. Mounted it on dasher with Hawkins rings, sighted in and shot one local match in October. Not a scratch on it.

Nightforce Atacr has mil-C reticle, is ffp, and 7-35 power. This scope I have used quite a bit last 2 years in practice and matches. Tracks perfectly and is in overall very good shape.
Pics to come. I have the NF still mounted but the TT will have more detail pics.

Won the Lottery

No, not that lottery. THE LOTTERY. Yeah, I got a call from the CMP on Monday that my number was drawn for the 1911 lottery. Round 2. All that were available were rack grade. It's a bit depressing listening to the lady read the description "Rack grade firearms will (her emphasis) exhibit rusting, pitting, have broken parts, and show signs of excessive wear. Firearms may require gunsmithing to return to service... All firearms are test fired for functionality- so it will go bang."

Colt 1945 vintage frame and a "type 3" Remington Rand slide. The finish is as even as I would expect. No visible rust or pitting. There are some handling marks, and dings from use. But, the grips are not broken. No obvious broken parts. Other than finish wear at the spots one would expect wear- rails, barrel finish, barrel bushing, etc, the pistol is remarkably clean. It does have a "rack number" on the obverse handle scale (23). I can't really decipher what dropped this pistol out of one of the higher grades. Not that I'm complaining. That said, I haven't to looked down the bore with my bore scope- maybe it does poorly with erosion gauges. Maybe it can't keep 5 shots on paper at 7 yards. I haven't shot it yet. Either way, I'm pretty happy with the purchase. And, the CMP is not messing around with their shipping box...

Help Request with 1. OCW results .300 PRC - does not make sense to me

Hi there guys,
I don't want to bother you with long texts (and hopefully question itself, in case my brain doesn't get it and it's something what's obvious in general...)...so I did it this way (hopefully it's not gonna be a bad idea) - the info I think is important is included on the pictures. I do know that my writing is kinda dysgraphic and horrible tho and I apologize for that. I'm a surgeon and it's common issue amongst us, .... anyways, if it isn't readable/understandable in general, I will be more than happy to write everything down here :)

It's basically the first proper OCW I did for my new Bergaga, I've never been shooting it with factory ammo as it hasn't been available in Czechia since .300 PRC was released to the public. I applied general rules of reloading, load devs. and Berger advices aboout loading VLD pills, and overall procedure/modification of the OCW test itself is as described in this thread (as I reload mainly 6,5 CM) https://www.65creedmoor.com/index.php?topic=6774.0 .

Thoughts, notes, changes - as I told before, I used the main idea and concept, not every single detail which I assumed it's not relevant (Gr increments, number of charge steps etc.), but I'm quite confident I did it right either when planning, reloading and shooting itself,.... Some differences and misc., so you musn't mess with metric vs imperial etc. - barrel cooling after each 7-string of shots (no one minute waiting between shots), shooting (and zeroing) distance 109.3 yards, CBTO 2.89 INCH (0,03' jump),.RS 76 - Reload Swiss 76 - swiss powder, common in europe, and most important - it's on stock all the time at almost every store in our lil country. Closest to H1000 from what I've learnt so far / some say it's just european version of RL25 named differently for US/EU markets, who knows...Last but not least, please be nice about the scope :D, but tbh it's not temporary or some real money issue thing, these optics just work for me on different rifles and cals.

BUT, to the point again (sorry)....I'd be very glad for any kind of objective and possible explanation for this from you guys, as here are many of pro's and supportive folks. I reload for one year, and neither don't shoot any competitions, or think I'm particularily good shooter, it's just my biggest hobby which I love. Question is - What could be the reason for consistent vertical drop, obvious on targets 2, 3, 4 and 5 of last, third, string (marked on targets). When 1. hit of that string doesn't seem weird and the last, 7. is totally of the chain - here I suppose it's just far from node. Sighter on the top left is due to fact I didn't make enough sighters/foulers I thought I'd have needed. Ofc there is considerable shooter's error, I do know that, but still, I'm not sure how (or if it's possible) to interpret the results. And if yes, how would you proceeed now?
Thanks a lot in advance and take care!
T.

WATCH: Harrowing footage of armored gunman being taken down by Texas police before Houston Veteran's Day Parade. Possible terrorist targeting parade.

HOUSTON, TEXAS, NOVEMBER 11, 2021

Two days prior to the culmination of this incident, Elliot Lewis, who had an extensive criminal history, pulled up outside the Harris County Precinct 4 stationhouse and opened fire with a rifle, sending a barrage of bullets through the unoccupied lobby. On November 11, just before the Houston Veteran's Day Parade was about to begin, deputies spotted the same sedan that had been captured on the stationhouse's camera and a high speed pursuit began.

After a while, a SWAT vehicle blocked Lewis' sedan and the suspect got out, pointing his rifle directly at approaching officers. Deputies opened fire, striking Lewis multiple times. At one point, officers on both sides of the suspect were engaged in a crossfire. No cops were hit. Lewis was pronounced dead on the scene. He was also found to be wearing body armor.

Given the events of the past 2 months surrounding the Rittenhouse trial and this suspect's clear targeting of law enforcement, it can be assumed that the Houston Veteran's Day Parade had been a target on that day but Lewis was neutralized before he could make it there.

Snipers in SHTF Situation

The producer brings up some interesting points but I think that he’s probably incorrect on some points.

First, I wouldn’t necessarily call the shooter that he’s describing a true sniper. This person would basically a murderous thief. A true sniper wouldn’t want to expose themself after taking a shot to steal the victim’s equipment.

I could see groups of marauders ambushing targets or invading various homes, farms or enclaves.

He’s correct that the killer in the scenario that he’s describing would now be a high priority target for the victims’ family and friends. I would also go out on a limb and say that the killer would probably have to know the terrain and area.

With that said, the killer would probably know their victims and the neighbors might start a search and destroy mission in their own back yards. Some innocent people might be falsely accused as there won’t be any recognition often bill of rights.

So what does everyone else think?
