    Re: $200 scope for trainer? I have a bushnell 10x on my 308 and can make repeatable hits out to 1k just fine.. It's not a precise as a higher power scope but it works well for me.

    Re: Remington 700 SPS Tactical or SPS Varmint in 308? The sps tactical is pretty awesome. The stock is horrible. I can't get comfortable at all behind it. With another stock the sps tactical makes a great out of the box rifle. My accuracy is about the same as others report.

    Re: Most wear resistant bolt coating? I think <span style="text-decoration: line-through">300sniper</span> Todd with Phantom Finishing does microslick, I felt one of the bolts he did and it sure was nice. It made the bolt very very smooth.

    Triad rear bag

    Re: Triad rear bag I use a Red Tac Gear Rear Bag. It makes it really easy to adjust for elevation and creates a solid position. At the last monthly match in norcal I'd say 20 out of 25 were using them. A few were using shooting gloves of some sort and one had a thinner bag.
