Got a old school bushnell 15-45. Not bad but need a serious upgrade. Would like to stay under 1,000 if possible

Looking to upgrade. Started shooting out to 1,000 yards now and looking for a good spotting scope for that distance. Clarity is where my current spotting scope is lacking

If your only looking for a “truck gun” the PSA type route is a good one. It’s not like your taking on the taliban in the sandbox and firing tens of thousands of rounds with it. Take that extra money and buy ammo and mags along with a good med kit. Just my .02

Don’t forget to use a little hi temp anti seize grease on the threads. Since I started using it,I have not had that problem.

Dump the .40. With modern bullets and powders the 9mm gets you close enough with much less recoil letting you shoot faster. It’s cheaper and it’s all about shot placement in the end

I would go with a Sig detachable either 556 or 762 they are great performers

I carried a Sig Tac Ops for the last 8 years of my career. Went bang every time and ran like a sewing machine. Have heard good things about the colt combat unit & colt m45. Guess color would be one of the bigger differences

I am very impressed I have used the QD 7.62 and 5.56 models would absolutely buy both of them look a little funky but work great

Parts I have used n would use again in addition to your set up Rem 700 LA 26" Broughton 1-11 twist with badger brake same contour and fluted Leupold scope EGW Base and rings or Leupold MK4 bases and rings Cerakote as described stock is good too Just my .02

Was a dumb move to go to the 9mm when we did most of the tier 1 units still use the 45 although it's always about bullet placement I would still vote for a 230 grain +p as the round to base the gun on I also agree it won't happen for 5-10 years anyway if at all
