Savage 110/Shilen select match in 300 wm. Consistantly 1/3 moa and less with 200 gr Gamekings at 200 yds....i need to get to longer range soon as i get time.
Yes there is some old but good data. I assume you checked 458 socom forums. Also nosler has some newer load data for 300's If you are using 300 to 325 grainers please try h110 sooner than later. If using cast i am not much help. D
Works great. I have been using hbn for 6 years or more when i first heard about it and i cannot find a reason to NOT use it if you are concerned about consistency and cleaner barrels. My Shilen Barreled Savage 300wm has no copper after 75 rounds last time i checked and i do not expect it anytime...
I am using Hornady dies and seem to work well. Make sure to only bump the shoulder .005 and you are not "over sizing" the brass. I have had good luck with 325 FTX and various powders like ... Lil Gun 4198 Re7 Norma 200 Please visit 458 socom forums to find bunches of knowledge. D
Well I will say I really enjoy my savage....enough to put it in a chassis with a match barrel and it shoots and cycles fantastically. That does not mean there aren't better but isnt that ALWAYS going to be the case. And it didnt cost me my left nut!
