Texas man hits 1 MOA target at 2.07 miles

In order to even see the target you have to deliberately hold a minute high/low and a minute left/right. That puts the target in the middle of the two-minute hash marks on your crosshairs (sort of like aiming through a square "peep sight"). It's not a "good" target presentation but it's better...

    .375 Cheytac questions

I'm pushing a 377 gr. Cutting Edge bullet with 134 gr. of Retumbo out of a 29", 1:11" twist at 2,950 fps. The gun was built by one of our advertiser/supporters of the "Hide", weighs about 20 lbs. with the scope and seems to be doing just fine. I'm not entirely sure, but he may have put his own...

    375 cheytac brass?

I picked up some "Cutting Edge" .375 solids in the 377 grain configuration. They also have hollow point solids for hunting at 375 grains each. I'm working on the 4th reload of Jaimison brass with some fairly hot loads. I have a goal of consistent hits at 2 miles (3,520 yards). Don't know if...

    Seeking Opinions on Rangefinders

I'm looking at the Newcon Optic LRB 4000CI 7X50 LRF. It's supposed to range out to 4,000 meters with pluss or minus 1 meter accuracy. It's a bit pricey though! It costs about the same as my .375 Cheytac.

ELR Items at 2013 SHOT Show (Day Three, Last One)

Re: ELR Items at 2013 SHOT Show (Day Three, Last One) I was thinking of inventing something like that (RULR)! It's good to know other people are thinking along the same lines. Depending on range, prices should drop to the 5 K mark.

    Coriolis Effect

Re: Coriolis Effect As wobbly as I am, it is very unlikely that coriolis will make any difference on me hitting the target.

ELR Items at 2013 SHOT Show (Day Two, Info + Pics)

Re: ELR Items at 2013 SHOT Show (Day Two, Info + Pics) Love that Valdata! How much did it cost for the one you bought? Did it come with rings like the Terminator does? Can you order low, medium or high rings or does "one size fits all"? I'm thinking that I need that "7" bipod too.

Re: DTA 3000M + Long Range Shoot This Thursday! Near as I can tell, your altitude should have been about 5440 feet. If you put a pressure of 30 some odd in your computations then you should have noted that that was a corrected (to sea level) pressure. The raw data from your Kestrel should...

Re: Opinions on Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50 I've got the PST 4-16x50 MOA MOA on my .375 Cheytac and it's doing the job nicely. Zero stop works fine. I haven't bothered with the illumination yet. If I switch to a scope with higher magnification then I will replace one of the bushnells on one...
