I have a USO scope, the SN3 tpal and do not know if it is Mil or Moa? Is there a test that I can perform with out shooting them to tell. I do not have acess to the range right now and US optics does not have a build sheet it on record Thanks for any help

Picked up a NSX for my dad a few months ago in a trade. He isnt as picky as me about the Mil/Mil thing but I noticed on CS gunworks website they sell MIL knobs. Can they be converted by simply changing the knobs out? I wouldnt mind setting it up Mil/Mil if thats possible.

Burris now offers their XTR624 with 1/4 MOA turrets. The older version I have has 1MOA elevation and 1/2MOA windage. Even better, Burris will change your old turrets to 1/4MOA for $80. My scope is in shop getting this mod.

I put a Farrell 20 MOA rail on my Remy 700 .308 with a Falcon 4-14 FFP,and at a zero 100 yards I am using about 25% of my elevation adjustment. Is there a solution for this? Or just a result of the base being so thick?

Ok guys I need some enlightment. I want to convert Moa to mil. I know to convert Moa to Mils you divide the Moa by 3.438. My question is If a mil subtends 3.6 inches at 100 yds why the 3.438 number instead of dividing by 3.6?

What is better or more intuitive. I know the obvious advantage of the Mil / Mil setup is the range finding reticle. Is it tough to range using an MOA reticle. I see the move is to Mil / Mil but the MOA is more intuitive for me to translate over various ranges. Any advice?

Please help a newbie out (I just started shooting pistols a few months ago, and this is my first rifle). Am I calculating MOA correctly? Furthest edge to furthest edge measures 13/16". If shooting with .308, then this is about 0.5 MOA, right (0.8125-0.308=0.5045)? I had 4 out of 6 groups...

Is there a simple formula for ranging with MOA as there is for MIL's? ie. target size in inches X ? divided by moa observed. I know I can just round down to 1", & divide it, but to be more accurate than that?

Just wondering if this is too far fetched to think I, or anybody for that matter, can get .5 moa at a mile. Custom built 338 Lapua, sub .5 moa at 1000. Just for conversation... Don't have the above rifle yet.
