She’s wondering when she’s gonna go back to normal, but I’m sittin here kinda diggin it.....?

The way I see it here in Ca Gavin Newsom issued the "shelter in place order". He is the one who closed down all non essential business.
The Fucktard liberal democrats have the governor, house and senate. I think the Fucktard democrats should be paying for business to close and employees salaries who are not working. All the damage done here is gavin newsoms fault.

He had to do something, and now the Dems are trying to blackmail him with a bill full of bull shit to compensate for there lack of accomplishments over the past 3.5 years...

It's more than a bill full of shit. It's a deliberate bribe to sell off our ability to vote for our own representation. If this passes, we turn into a sovietesque dictatorship of the Party with fake "show elections".

they gave Trump crap for trying to close down flights from China - they wanted it here.
once it got here, they overreacted in order to keep people from working, wreck the economy, and make everyone financially desperate.
then they refused Trumps plan, and got a free pass from the propaganda media.
then they put out a disgusting offer to surrender our elections in exchange for a little cash.
When the Republican senate votes it down, the propaganda media will be all over Trump and the Republicans. "you dont care that people are starving!"
All in an attempt to turn public opinion before the election.
Either they'll get their ballot harvesting now, or they'll get it if they win the election. And then, the Republic is done.

It's all been a set up, courtesy of a chicom virus/biological agent. Anyone who doesn't think that the progressives are treasonous criminals is probably one of them.

Seriously I think all of this is over blown.
An over reaction on pay outs and keeping people at home. About half of what is being done does not need to be done.
I'm pretty sure we're in for a rough couple of weeks, but what the fuck, too turn the country up side down? IDK

So do I understand this correctly for the checks: Everyone gets a check no matter what. Shouldn't the money only go to people that are not working because of the shut down? I would think unemployment should be authorized since you pay into it on your checks anyways. It also pays a max of $1850 or 1900/month I think. That is much more than the $1000-1200 I keep seeing on the news. Hell $1200 doesn't even pay my rent here in So-Cal.

I'm OK with helping people that are getting fucked because of the shut downs. I just think the option should be draw from unemployment first. If you haven't been working long enough to pay in much, then you can get the check. They can even add a slight tax to your check to pay it back interest free if needed. Sorta like borrowing from your own 401K. Maybe I'm wrong in this thinking?

Thankfully I am good with savings and I have lots of vacation time saved up through work. So far this isn't affecting me financially.

Why don’t they just set an income level, business and personal, and say at that level or below, no tax due for 2019. Done.
Otherwise, for many this is just a wash.
And a screwing with all the extra crap they’ll add to the bill.

Problem is that 49% enjoys no taxes anyway and the people most likely to need bailout money work their asses off to earn an income above any likely chosen limit.

The so called 1%, unless they are really taking every loophole possible, already pay a shit ton of tax.

The gall of Harry Reid to claim Mitt Romney (aka the weasel) didnt pay his share of taxes when the record showed he pain $11m is crazy.

The 1% pays a lot in taxes.

The middle class pays a shit load in tax as compared to their total income.

Sorry your point is a good one but its getting me in the weeds.

The problem so much isnt taxes on their own. Its a tax system that is politicized to choose favorites and enemies that hurts.

There is still a large amount of individuals that can't collect unemployment because they don't pay into it. I'm out of work temporarily but without pay or benefits and cannot collect unemployment as a substitute teacher. Fortunately for us, my girlfriend is still employed and I have my VA disability and using CH.31 education benefits from the VA that are covering us while I decide what the next plan is but am still out a large portion of my income for an unspecified amount of time. There are others in a similar position that the check, even though it doesn't amount to much, can cover them for a brief period while they work on a contingency plan during this time and not fall to far behind. Of course, that is assuming those affected do have the same mindset and will look for employment elsewhere during this time.

Yes, if you watch CSPAN and listen to the actual comments people make, it is much better than reading it all filtered through the media.

The Democrats in the Senate were made to look like the fools they are yesterday, with the idiotic "green" and other Democrat agenda wish list items trying to be forced into the Congressional relief package. It was painfully apparent.

I do hope it comes back to haunt Pelosi and Schumer and crew. Their idiotic focus on "workers, workers, workers" at the expense of supporting the employers. As Mitchell said this morning: "There's a term for what happens when you separate empoloyees from employers: UNEMPOLOYMENT" .... spot-on.

Based on what I heard from the various horses' mouths yesterday, this summary, to me, is spot on:

1000 pages of pork and bullshit not even related to what we now face, yet they want to move this through quickly because it is "Common Sense" and "We have to pass this because it is urgent then we can read it."

FUCK YOU Nancy and Chuck.

How long would it take you to read 1000 pages of fine print?

Fuck them all on both sides. Very few are looking out for US but lining their own pockets. Get to work you greedy bastards.

I am reading about a device the French used many years ago that put an end to corrupt politicians and gaining more respect for French people from years back.

Yet people will still get on social media and defend the democrats. They will search the entire internet trying to find some guy who says its the republicans doing it and not the democrats and spew that as the gospel. It honestly blows my mind how people can‘t think for themselves and comprehend facts that they can see with their own two eyes.

Yep I agree completely.
They’re trying the same bullshit they pulled on PPACA (Obamacare) Let’s pass it because______, then we’ Read what’s in it.
Could you imagine running a business like that? Geez.

I would bet that here on the Hide we could come up with a machine that does it quickly and of a much better design than the French used, much faster and someone would come up with a dozer to take care of disposal.
Again, I am really ashamed of what our politicians are doing on Capitol Hill.
Maybe they are pushing all of US to see what we will tolerate?
They may not like what comes about. VOTE every chance you get.

All of those sons and daughters of bitches make me want to vomit. They don't care, for the most part, about the USA and It's Citizens.
I do leave them a loophole for the ones doing right.
Most won't fit as you have to be honest to get in that loophole.

On page 127, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which produces PBS, is handed an additional $300,000,000 “to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus”. Of that amount, $50,000,000 “shall be used to support the public television system”.

On page 39, the Internal Revenue Service, or IRS, is given an additional $278,000,000 under the Pelosi bill.

Designated to the vague “Taxpayer Services,” the legislation gives $236,000,000 to the IRS to “prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus”.

The bill gives another $42,000,000 to an “Enforcement” category.

On page 150, the Department of State Migration and Refugee Assistance program is allotted $300,000,000 for “migration and refugee assistance”.

On page 127, the Institute for Museum and Library Services is given $500,000,000 “respond to coronavirus” by granting States, museums, territories and tribes “to expand digital network access, purchase tablets and other internet-enabled devices, for operational expenses, and provide technical support”.

On page 15, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, or NOAA, is granted an additional $33,200,000 “for necessary expenses to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus…”

Listed under a “Safety, Security and Mission Services” category, on page 17, Pelosi gives the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, or NASA, an additional $100,000,000 “to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus”.

Earmarked for an ambiguous “Construction and Environmental Compliance and Restoration,” the bill grants $100,000,000 “to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus” on page 18.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts isn’t left out. On page 77, it is given $35,000,000 “for operations and maintenance requirements related to the consequences of coronavirus”.

On page 88, the “Ryan White HIV/AIDS program” receives an additional $90,000,000, according to language in the bill.

The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences is allotted an extra $36,000,000 on page 94 of the legislation.

Two Washington, DC, universities get in on the action.

On page 119, Gallaudet University is granted $7,000,000 “to help defray expenses (which may include lost revenue, reimbursement for expenses already incurred, technology costs associated with a transition to distance learning, faculty and staff trainings and payroll)”.

Howard University receives $13,000,000 for similar open-ended expenses on page 123. Howard’s endowment fund currently stands at $692,800,000.

In the past 24 hours I've gotten coronavirus emails about literally nothing from:

- My internet provider
- Another one of my banks
- US Elite (lol what?)
- Nationwide Insurance
- Best Buy
- Babbitt's Online

All of them are blah blah generalized bullshit. Nothing about service or 'we're closing down' or anything. I mean, at least send a fucking coupon code or something.

I hope they don't start emailing me about car accident deaths and the flu.

I meant that with the upmost respect to to you and everyone here. In a time when they are raping our liberty, I am doing what I can to protect our liberty. Not answering questions about our personal details to anyone is one of the Few liberties we have left. I actually like most of you guys on here and mean no offense, even if my posts may come off that way. I ask for your forgiveness if I offended you as I would much rather be your friend then enemy.

I am a God fearing, law abiding Proud American citizen that works for what I have and pays my taxes. I raise my children with my beautiful wife, under the Almighty.

AND DONT WANT A DIME FROM THE GOV UNLESS THEY'RE PAYING ME FOR MY SERVICE.

Those are some of the most powerful words any man cans speak. They go right to the very root of Christ's message. Well said, FRIEND.

Surprised @lowlight hasn't sent out a Corona virus hug to the Hide membership.

He must be taking this social distancing thing to the extreme.

You know I’m no saint... done a lot of mean things and been nasty to the ones I cared for.

I just can’t live like that anymore. The Almighty has blessed me with so much, in spite of my serious flaws. So anymore when I make someone angry with me, I try to bury the hatchet as quickly as possible and put the burden of apologizing on me, regardless if I’m right or wrong. It’s hard but I try.

We dont need all this damn hatred for one another. The hate in our hearts is murdering our souls.

Now excuse me while I go back to my hippy commune and sing Kumbaya or whatever the hell the burn outs sing now a days

"You know I’m no saint... done a lot of mean things and been nasty to the ones I cared for."

You and I both.

"We dont need all this damn hatred for one another. The hate in our hearts is murdering our souls."

Some, including some on here, never seem to learn that. Hate and filth only reflect the state of ones heart. I cant afford it.

You know ive been thinking about that. Weren’t firearms yet to be invented?

I think this is the 21st century equivalent if America ever wakes up and sees what the oligarchy/organized crime we call .gov is doing

I find it weird that companies that people really don't interact with, except online, are sending out Kung Flu updates.

Here is your Kung Flu update from SH,

We are open, with intermittent periods of closure for new features to be added. We are open for business but stay away from my house you infected fool.

While we appreciate your business, the less we hear from you the better I like it.

Thanks for your continued support, and just know I hate you all, especially everyone taller than me.

If Trump wants to help he can lower rates on student loans and undo some of Obama's fuckery. Better yet, scrub student loan debt and let the millions of newly student-debt-free wage earners pump their hard earned dollars into the economy. Either way he should take the garbage both sides are pandering right now and tell them to shove their bills up their asses. Useless, criminal vermin, the lot of them.

They all majored in women's studies and will be unemployable.

The only lesson they will have from college that's sticks with them is that if you borrow money you don't have to pay it back.

Obama took college loans out of the private sector and burdened the public with it.

Give it back to the banks that might say "Son the world needs ditch diggers" when the 1.5 High School GPA comes looking to borrow.

Tighten the loan supply and we won't have every college be unaffordable. They will actually have to perform and compete for the fewer students. Prices will come down and Liz Warren won't make $300K a year teaching "Native American Herstory".

Rep version is corporate bailouts and a little bit of money that you basically have to be poor to qualify for and probably won't do much anyways. Also mandates small business have to pay employees for X amount of weeks and can write it off and/or get it reimbursed eventually (have read this a bunch of different ways); which wont work because they dont have that cash and all you'll effectively achieve is guaranteeing they go bankrupt.

Dem version is stuffed full of shit that has absolutely nothing to do with anything and can't be connected to an economic crisis via 7 degrees of seperation, and some poor people cash too.

These are your two choices? Fucking seriously? You act like the end of the world is near, and this is fucking all you could come up with?

Oh, and fuck bailing out airlines again who had record profits for years running all while nickle and dimeing everyone to death with fees, smaller seats and the lack of anything resembeling service. Choke of a dick. I'd rather have a fucking nationalized air carrier run by reservists than give you faggots any more money.

And dear God, why am I getting fucking coronavirus emails from random fuck companies? Yes, I know coronavirus exists you fucks. I don't need fucking everyone I ever bought something from in the universe emailing me about their fucking take on it. Go shelter in place, or go back to work or some shit, but stop fucking emailing me about it.

I support your bid for President. You have my vote.

I don't think $1200 is going to make or break anyone.

I do resent the idea, however, that I can make enough money to have part of it taken by threat of force every year, but I somehow make too much to be given any back in the form of assistance.

If you pay taxes you should get the same as anybody else doing the same.

I'd rather see them spend the 2 trillion on stockpiling for the next problem, bringing pharma production back in house, and flipping China the ?.
