Just so I have this right as far as the 'helping' Americans bill

I can only imagine all of the lawsuits that follow this deal.....not the bill and relief, but the "lock down" orders. A person has a business and the gov't killed it. I'm sure that is the next bill to be passed, protection for the fed, cities and counties that killed people's business.

Too late. Under the "State of Emergency" they are covered from any and all liabilities to the little people. Better luck next time and for the another entry fee another business license can be bought.

And by the sad look in their eye you can tell just how broken up they are about your business going tits up. The Fed Govt just passed 2 trillion dollars of spending that the cities and State will use to "cough cough" help the little guy.

I can’t get to work right now as I have to travel and my employer has put a hold on travel. Money is tight but I have not been a total doofus and I have a bit saved just for times like this.
I have been responsible.

if the gov sends me a check I will be truly pissed and will send it back or to charity. If I send it back a nice long note on how insulting that is will go with it.
I have never taken unemployment and I don’t want a handout now. I am a competent and free man and I expect and demand that my government recognize and treat me accordingly.

This handout stuff and mandatory closing of businesses, etc really pisses me off. It’s like they are actually trying to use a bad flu like virus to completely destroy America in a month or two.

Since civics hasn't/doesn't get taught in school anymore?
Since when do bills get passed in the Senate and then go to the House?

Thought the process was the opposite?

Maybe I watch too many cartoons..

Besides, the Kenyan brought about new ways to run the country with a pen and a phone.
The truth is that congress has abdicated it's responsibility by allowing regulations to rule the population instead of legislation. Unelected overpaid assholes with no liability to the electorate dole out legislation that is enforced by the king's men.

So, according to the legislation passed by the Senate...if my son gets unemployed right now he will make much more per week not working than he is now working at his lower paying job...for four months.

Makes sense, huh?

Aint America Great!

Streets are paved with gold! Bills never come due.

Two America related stories for today......

First Covid America

Lucky to pick up an extra shift today. Due to Covid everything is shutting down including outside construction. Job Im on state supervisor throws a shit fit because 4 workers commuted together on a plus 50 mile trip in one truck.

But wait are we not supposed to car pool to save the world?

So plastic disposable bags and car pooling have become a victim of Covid 19.

Pretty much suspect that tomorrow and for some time into the future even these few construction jobs will be shut down.

Workers are pissed. Foreman telling me "Flu kills more people". I tell him not to use his common sense and statistics on me.

I think the American worker is wondering if "social distancing" will matter when they are all living under an over pass in a card board box.

Second only in America story.....

Porta potty truck with fresh porta potty is passing on other side of the road. Driver stops, beeps, waves at us, we wave back. Wow isnt he a nice man.

Soon he shows up at our site.

Cant speak English.

Takes his blue tooth bud out of his ear and wants site super to use it to access his translator and talk to him about the porta potty delivery.

Corona virus era or not super is not putting the ear bud in his ear.

Guys delivery sheet says something like "Teds Roofing" and we are installing granite curb on a busy roadway.

Foreman gets Portuguese speaker to talk to Spanish speaker. 10 times out of 10 this is successful as two romance languages can generally get by.

This guy is number 11.

After explaining we are not "Teds Roofing" guy says "I unload here"

So I have a sweet clean porta potty to piss in but somewhere a "Teds Roofing" worker is holding his shit.

Too funny.

Third story of America for the day.....

Construction crew is working.....oil delivery truck stops on other side of the roadway opposite our job.

Driver jumps out and runs across with two bags.

Hands me a dozen big Gatorades and a Dunkin Donuts card.

Says give everyone a Gatorade and get them afternoon coffee.

Oil delivery guy is busting his balls as hard as the construction crew in my mind.

Silver Lining - Corona virus isn't making AMERICANS sick, it's making them better.

Wow, I never thought the scam of per-employee costs as hidden individual taxes was fooling anyone intelligent enough to form sentences. Guess I was too optimistic.

The cost of keeping YOU as an employee is your compensation, as it's what they exchange for having your ass around, no matter where it goes. May not show up on your paystub but it is nonetheless a tax on the individual, not the evil Capitalist job-giver.

I’m going to start including things in my offer letters like $450/mo in office rent, $1200/mo in software licenses, $80/month in office furniture rental... even though you only take home $30k, you’re basically making $125k in total compensation! Lol
