I got one of these a while back and really like it. It's a very simple device that redirects brass straight down onto the bench or shooting mat under the rifle. It can be mounted with a simple scope body clip or a clip that fits on the pic rail. So it will fit on virtually any rifle.

Not shown in these photos, but I usually put a "Billy Towel" underneath to catch the brass and keep it from bouncing off the bench or shooting mat.

My range buddies like it, and I'd like to get some for them as gifts. And maybe an extra one for myself! But KET (Kinetic Energy Tools) quit making it!

Does anyone here know of anyone who makes a similar item? I don't want a brass CATCHER. I don't want a bag of brass hanging on my rifle. I like the way this deflector works. And it makes it a lot easier to "police your brass" when it ends up in a nice neat little pile down below the rifle.

I bought two AT-Xs Gen 3s to use for PRS competition and have decided to go a different direction. Both rifles are chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, include the folder, and the light trigger spring already installed. From there, one has a long red top bridge, and the other has no bridge. The one without the bridge has had about 100 rounds through it, the one with the bridge has never been shot.

This is a gun with 400-500 rounds on it. Cleaned it before range day one and fouled with 10 factory rounds. Exact same sorted Hornady brass, same box of 210M primers, same jug of H4350, different lot of 140 ELDMs (?), exact same reload process two days apart. No change in weather during reloading or shooting.

I get that the first day was a smaller sample size, but wtf happens to cause a 24 fps change in average velocity??? If I load up 150 this afternoon wtf velocity are they going to come in at??

Partial rant, partial hoping someone has suggestions to help me understand this.

Bought this off here to use as an upper for coyote hunting, but I got something lighter. Has ~250rds through it. Shoots incredible. Douglas 1:7 twist. The brake will need re-torqued, I’ll send a couple shims with it. I used a different suppressor so I removed the brake. Top and bottom pic rails have minor paint chipping from mounting optics and tripod/bipod.

What could go wrong?

Why would anyone choose to blueprint a Remington 700 action over buying a custom action like defiance or bat etc?

With the tighter tolerances and attention to detail of a custom action I personally would choose to just buy a custom action over putting money into a Remington but year after year I see people buying cheap 700 rifles to get the action to accurize. They end up spending just as much as a custom action by the time the gunsmith is done and newer aftermarket parts are in place.

What am I missing here.

I'm putting together a 300BLK Subsonic Bolt gun with an Origin action. Can people suggest companies or gunsmiths that can best spin up what I'm looking for? This is largely a 300m and in backyard toy, but given I'll probably never shoot out the barrel, I'm willing to spend a little more if the juice is worth the squeeze.

Criteria:
- 8"-8.5" length
- Shouldered (no barrel nut crap)
- Chambered for 300BLK
- 5/8-24 muzzle thread with Sig/Q 25 degree taper
- Shouldered for Origin
- 1:7 twist (unless a coconut hits me in the head before ordering and I sway 1:5)
- Cerakoted black (if the smith or company doesn't offer coatings I can always do it locally but would prefer to avoid the extra trip)
