Pulling out an old Marlin 30-30. Hunting in Thick Woodlands with some open area but mostly, DENSE AF woods. So 50-100 yards shots (along a creek), maybe 200. Visibility is usually 50 yards or less.

Open sights are cool: when you are young: I'm not. Looking for a good scope under $1k doesn't have to be a 1-X but maybe like a 3-8 or similar. Maybe 2-8 or 2-10. I really have no clue in this range as I'm used to Long Distance optics.

I have a brand new SilencerCo Maxim-50 suppressed muzzle loader. Never fired. All factory accessories, case, etc. I'm the original owner.

Maybe you guys with a wider scope of expierence can help me out.

Built a light weight hunting rifle for my 11yr old. An 18in 6.5CM on a BAT BumbleBee, Manners EH4, and Proof CF barrel. I want to keep the scoped rifle as light as possible.

I’m looking for a scope in the 2-10 or 3-9x range, but that also has a mil based reticle. Or Atleast turrets that track solid. He’s at the point where I want to teach him how to dial his turrets and measure his corrections through the scope.

I’m having trouble finding a decent optic that fits the bill.

Any recommendations? Budget is 2k or less

In the article, Adams posits that black people need “safe spaces to go camping and just experience the outdoors” because of past racial discrimination.
CNN has even lamented the “adventure gap” or “nature gap” in outdoor recreation due to a lack of diversity in the “White-dominated space.”
But Adams has a solution. An outdoor “safe-space.”

“Throughout history, we weren’t even allowed to go to national and state parks because of the color of our skin.
