I'm surprised it took this long to happen, but it looks as if the Illinois domino is going to fall. Illinois has introduced HB5855 it's version of the "Assault Weapon Ban. The bill would make it a class 3 or class 2 felony to manufacture, sell, deliver or purchase "assault weapons" or .50 cal rifles.

They will permit you to keep what guns you have providing you, within 300 days of the bill becoming law, register your firearms by providing the affiant's name date of birth, FOID (gun card) number, make, model serial number of the "weapon," proof of a locking mechanism that properly fits the weapon and pay $25. Can only transfer them to heirs or someone out of state, or an FFL, providing you properly tattle on the new owner within 10 days of the transfer.

The bill bans magazines larger than 10 rounds. No grandfathering. Class 3 or class 2 felony. Additionally, the bill bans "assault weapon attachments," which the bill describes as anything that can convert a non-assault weapon into an "assault weapon."

There are the usual carve-outs for LE, .mil, nuclear plant security personnel, prison guards and a few others.

Selling a MDT ESS Chassis that just came off of another rifle. It is for a Remington SA. The rifle it was on had only 20rds through it and was mainly used for marketing photography and videography shots at work. This chassis comes with a folding stock and has been professionally cerakoted ranger green. It has a custom cheekpiece from MDT as well as their Vertical Premier Grip in FDE. There are very few marks on the chassis and is like new in condition. Below I have some pictures of both the chassis by itself as well as the rifle it came off of.

Brand new, the ESS Chassis with the folding stock from MDT is running around $1400 so I'm looking to get $1000 for it now, but feel free to make an offer. I'd also accept trades depending on what it was. I'll post a list of some things below I'd be willing to trade for.

So today, while waiting, I got to wondering about those vitamin gummies. Specifically, what are "gummies" and once ingested, do they reform into their gummies state? Even worse, do they agglomerate (which is the word of the day) into larger gummies? Perhaps golf ball or even tennis ball sized gummies? Could I have an even larger, say cantalope size gummy holding up normal digestive traffic?

Looking for serious advice before things snowball and I pass out trying to drop a gummies bowling ball. Maybe there is some sort of anti-gummies Drano or something. Wish I had thought of those gummies when I was dealing with that 6f^&4##$! neighbor's cat the other week.

I dove off into the AR world last year having a guy build me an AR308, then my wife a 5.56 both 20” barrels. Quickly saw I wanted me a 5.56 too. So I decided to do this one on my own, a lot of research on here and the web and here it is finished. I just did a function test and barrel break in today with some old bulk Thunder ammo 68gr bthp. Before leaving I put one on steel at 500 yards, adjusted and shot one group just to try it out. Can’t wait to see what it’ll do with some better ammo and start testing some handloads.

This is not a basher thread, love the TT Diamond... everyone should enjoy the YOLO only a top-shelf trigger can provide (be poor somewhere else).

That said... TT Diamond single-stage, ~3800rds on it. When I installed it I set it at ~8-9 ounces (via cheapo-style Wheeler trigger-pull gauge), and haven't touched it since. But, while going over my rig trying to find excuses as to why I suck at shooting more than usual lately, I discovered the pull had increased to ~15-16 ounces.
