What barrel vises will open to hold a 1.5” OD suppressor?

I have had a viper vise for over a decade and it has served me well but I’ve got a couple suppressors that are converted to omega mounts that need to be torqued in and I periodically remove and trying to do it with soft jaws sucks.

Does anyone make a good barrel vise that will accommodate 1.5” diameter suppressor? Ideally with enough room for a then piece of leather for protection as well. Something that’s quicker and easier to tighten down than the viper would be nice too.

If you don't think the Left would mass exterminate Trump supporters...

Joy Behar on The View said the toxic train derailment town had it coming because they voted for Trump.

It's right under the surface. And they call Trump Hitler.

This is actually great logic. If the fetus is a person, then they can't be unjustly incarcerated no matter what the mother does......... It is awesome.

Does 6.5x47 or 6x47 still have a place?

I’m getting ready to order a new barrel in a 6 or 6.5. Currently have a 6.5x47 but it’s toward the end of its life. I built it back when 6.5CM was just released and honestly didn’t think it would stick around, obviously I was wrong.

With the current situation I’m not seeing any real reason to go back with the x47 case since I can get small primer creedmoor brass and it’s just in general cheaper, and more available.

I have never owned any form of creedmoor, am I giving up anything going from 47 to creedmoor? I don’t mind the initial investment in brass and dies.

Mk12 Setup for High Pressure Loads?

I am trying to run 23.8gr of 8208 behind 77gr SMKs in two different guns. The 16" gun gives me more substantial pressure signs, including several blown primers. Pressure signs are primarily ejector marks on the brass (substantial on the 16"). However, after shooting Mk262 through both guns, I get similar speed as the 23.8gr load with no pressure issues. Both guns are run suppressed with a Surefire RC2 (waiting on an OCM-5).

I am wondering if adjustable gas blocks or restricted gas tubes would solve the issue. I would love the extra speed. My 23.3gr loads shoot at 2610fps 12SD and 2705 13SD in the 16" and 18" barrels, which is about 75fps slower in NH winters than the 23.8gr load or Mk262.

GUN 1
16" Douglas SPR Barrel from PRI
Mid length gas system
Geiselle 42 carbine buffer spring
H3 buffer
23.8gr Velocity 2700ish

GUN 2
18" Bartlein SPR barrel from CLE
Rifle length gas system
Sprinco Green Rifle Spring
Noveske 5.2oz A2 rifle buffer
23.8gr Velocity 2780ish

Any thoughts on ways to modify the gas or recoil systems to reduce pressure? Or am I just going to have to stick with the 23.3gr loads.

SOLD 1945 SA M1 Garand and Ammo

I have a Springfield Armory M1 Garand for sale. I purchased it from CMP as a Service Grade ("Good to Very Good") several years ago and have only taken it to the range twice and fired 56 rounds through it. I bought 200 rounds of PPU 30-06 M1 Garand ammunition for it and a bunch of clips. I have 144 rounds of ammunition left for it that I am also selling. Feel free to reach out with any questions or if you want any close-up pictures of anything on the rifle.

The receiver serial # 3873277 is from 1945 manufacture. The barrel, bolt, op rod and hammer are all stamped SA so they are also Springfield Armory. The barrel is stamped S-A-6-49 so I'm assuming it was re-barreled in 1949. It has a new production stock with CMP cartouche. It's a great looking rifle and shoots well.

$1,500 shipped to your FFL for the rifle and I'll include 10 en bloc clips with it as well as the manual and paperwork form CMP.

$175 shipped for 144 rounds of 150gr PPU M1 Garand 30-06 ammunition, 50 pcs of once fired brass(from the same lot of ammo) and a bunch of en bloc clips. 120 rounds still in 20 round boxes and 24 rounds in clips that I no longer have the boxes for.

Am I the only one that heard it ?

I know some of you guys are in the KC area and some others scattered throughout KS.
Today at approx. 3:30 PM local there was 2 sonic booms.
Followed by 2 explosions of no less than 2k pounders.
Both in very quick succession.
There are no hills so it was no way a echo thing.
Then...
There was a HUGE boom that did echo and roll for about ~5 seconds maybe ?

I've been looking on the news sites....not a thing.
I expected nothing so I'm not disappointed there.
Will keep checking and update anything.

I've been subject to both sonic booms and large explosions in the .mil.
I am not mistaken in that.
The huge BOOM was very low pitched and it rattled windows hard, similar to C4 but it was HUGE, I have never heard the like.
It was in the direction of Ellsworth ANG and/or Fort Riley.
They house B2's at Ellsworth.....so ?

SOLD WTS BNIB VUDOO V22T 360 LH 22" BARTLEIN, FOUNDATION CENTURION

This was a Dream Build, However, my health has different plans for me as of late. I hate it, but I will not let this sit, I have to sell it and let it go. so here it is, the caveat which might be hard to sell is it is built for a lefty. I built this, hoping to start NRL22, local matches and and maybe some PRS comp, but with my health that is not going to happen, and it is not a SHTF type gun so, well there it is!

- VUDOO V22T 360 22LR LH action Bartlein 22" MTU threaded black barrel and action, 30MOA RAIL, med knob, has a Huber 2 stage trigger(super nice trigger, I know most are used to the Diamonds but these are super nice, but you can change it out for a Triggertech or whatever you want, this is super sweet smooth trigger though, set at 2lbs). She is in a Foundation Centurion MC1 light Stock, Vudoo DBM, Cheek Rest also has ha brand new Weibad cheek pad on it, also fitted with a ARCA rail attachment. Comes with (3)-10 Rd Magazines.
PM me for any more details or info, $3400 Delivered to your Door, go ahead and price it out, that is still a couple hundred loss on my end, PayPal FF discreet. I will be posting, I wanted to get the ball rolling, but Pics will be posted shortly, this afternoon EST.

***After all this planning, scheduling, and waiting for this build, It's unfortunate. 2022 was not kind to me, nor is 2023 outlook. Three operations in 2022 and three more tentatively scheduled this year, first one the end of March. So I was hoping to get this stuff posted prior to this first surgery date in 2023. Regardless, that is the reason for me selling such nice new stuff, I have to get my life and health back in order before I can think or partake of such things. I wanted to explain, Thanks for looking.

New build showed up

Well I have been dealing with Ryan over at IBI/ultimatum for a little bit now on some rimfire builds and figured it was time to try some of his centerfire stuff. Well I got the email today that my new 6br arrived! Im still waiting on my chassis to arrive threw it in a temp stock for the time being to start getting my barrel seasoned and brass once fired. So far I’m thoroughly impressed! First 5 rounds out of the gun print a nice little .297 moa group. Looking forward to getting to spend a bit more time with this. All groups were shot with a bipod and bag prone, expect the 300 yard group was shot off the tail gate. There is a winter storm just rolling in so struggled seeing the 300 yard target, white paper in a white out condition haha so I aimed for the tip of the orange post and dropped 2 mil in my scope to land me on paper.

Build specs;

- ultimatum deadline gen 2
- ibi viking mtu contour 1:7.5 twist 6br
- mdt elite (sitting in a manners prs1t)
- tt diamond flat shoe
- apex rival 4-32x56
- spearhead 4 port brake.

I’ll be finishing once firing all my brass then starting load development with Berger 105’s and varget.
