Night Vision Eotech ELR and Bering SY-Cii photos.

I've had a couple PM's asking about the second generation Bering Optics Super Yoter clip on. The main question seems to be "how good is the image at range". I thought I would post these here for others who might be interested also.

I'm not going to call this a comparison, because we all know it's not an apples to apples test because the Yoter is in a wider FOV class and it's a third of the price. But I will say that within a couple hundred yards and under 10x the SY-Cii holds its own very well image wise. Plus it has onboard recording, is smaller, and has the larger FOV. I wouldn't have hesitated to spend this winter hunting with it if the Eotechs hadn't come along.

These pics were taken back to back. I've got more at 700yds I can post later if anybody is interested.

Also note, at 2.5x I'm loosing FOV with the Yoter. There is more past the edges.

Alpha Dasher brass case lip "oversized"?

I've come across a frustratingly large number of fired Alpha Dasher cases that will no longer chamber (easily) in the rifle from which they were fired.

For the cases that dont chamber (easily), I've found that the lip of the case neck will measure 0.273-0.2735 with a seated round...and my chamber is 0.274. As a result, chambering and extracting is not possible without a rubber mallet.

I've also found that when I neck size down in my 0.267 bushing, the lips and the body of the case neck (for the most part) measure out to ~0.267 +/- 0.0005. But, it's only when I go to the expander mandrel from PMA Tool that the lips get way over sized to 0.270 while the body remains 0.267

Reloading process:

- Wet tumble w/SS pins
- Anneal with AMP induction
- Bump/Neck size w/ 0.267 bushing
- Mandrel with PMA Tool 6mm expander mandrel (which im told is 0.242 for a final inside diameter of 0.241 after spring back)
- Wet tumble again to wash off lube
* note, this is 1-2x fired and dont require trim based on my measurments

So...my questions are as follows:

1) How to I remove the material from the lips of the case neck so that the entire neck is 0.267? Ive tried using the Lyment case prep express to chamfer the outsides...but it won't remove enough.

2) Is there a step in my process where I was supposed to address this?

3) Has anyone else encountered this with Alpha or other brass? I've also seen this relationship exists with virgin Alpha Dasher brass whereby there will be a ring around the lips that can measure 2-2.5 thou wider than the case neck body. See pics below.

4) What could cause the mandrel to create this fishmouthing of the case lips?

Modern Day Problem

I'm sitting here, minding my own business. I'm just reading some of the threads and drink a coke in a cup with ice. Then my brain decides to do something it rarely does, it starts to think. It notices my eye looking into the cup and seeing something that makes it go Hmmmm.

It now is asking a question, WHY DOES ICE MELT AT DIFFERENT RATES WHEN IT'S IN THE SAME CUP?

I noticed that ice melts at much different rates when it's in the same cup of coke. Some are almost complete melted, while others have barely melted at all.

To other brains out there, why is this? Scientist and engineers are welcome to explain too. But I suspect I'll get the Bubba's mind explaining it the most.

All are welcome.

Cumala 'Big Head' Harris says only black people should receive Federal aid for Ian's recovery.

This is what happens when you steal an election and put a racist whore in office.

Optics Nightforce ATACR 5-25x56 f2 MIL-R mint condition

The scope is a Nightforce ATACR 5-25x56 f2 MIL-R and is less than a year old and in mint condition. I got it to get into long range shooting only to discover I'm really a hand gun guy. Expensive discovery a little too late. I also have a Wilson combat 6.5 Super Sniper with a 24" barrel for sale but this post is for the scope and mount. The mount is a Vortex cantilever. I paid $3,200 new and am asking $2,500 obo for the scope and mount.

Maggie’s Bow season success

The first day of bow season was a disaster for me. I tried mechanical broadheads for the first time (i had practiced with them). My target buck for the year made an appearance at 21 yards and I let her fly. As near as I could tell the blades opened in flight and the arrow went haywire, jerking hard to the left. It appeared that the broadhead then stuck in his shoulder and he beat feet. Zero blood, searched for 10 hours including a dog. Two days later my neighbor bagged him. He said the broadhead was still embedded.

Anyway I went back to my fixed blades and connected.
28.1 yards
10 foot recovery
200 grain Grizzlystik XXL
Black Eagle Zombie Hunter Shaft

I had planned to give this fella another year or two but he was just too tempting of a target for my frustration

The pic is the exit not entrance btw.

swfa,burris,NF or other for a 6.5

looking at scopes for a soon to be bergara 6.5. budget should really stay @ $800. more possible but cost matters. at that,am looking used here and GB. burris signature, lower end NF,swfa HD are at front but consider any. had good luck with athlon and vortex. max range i can access is 600yd. hunting not much of an issue. prefer sfp but ffp ok for this use. IR a big plus but not necessary. MOA much preferred. any one got input, experience, opinion?

Confused… NX8, RZR LHT, MK5

So I’ve been looking for two $2k’ish, 3-18’ish, tree reticle, illuminated scopes for my 17HMR and a LMT-H. At the same time my son wants a light hunting optic.
Had an opportunity to compare a MK5 3-18, RXR LHT 3-15 and an NX8 2-20.
Definitely going to recommend the RZR for my son. Fairly impressive glass. Controls will be fine. He doesn’t know any better.
Was ready to place an order for NX8’s as I’ve had good success with my two 4-32 NX8’s, until I compared it to the MK5… I’d been thinking the tighter eye box on the NX8 wasn’t going to be a big issue. It sure was when compared to the MK5. I’d looked through some MK5’s a few years ago at PRE and decided no thanks. I’m thinking that was probably because I was trying to compare it to Alpha glass. I want to say it was slightly more clear than the NX8 as well… parallax was definitely better on the MK5.
Well damn. MK5 only has one tree reticle model and it’s not illuminated. Guess I’m back to the drawing board.
I know Burris should be an option. Having a hard time with that.
Am I missing other options??

Scumbag Soros Elected Servant snubs supoena then sqauks about closed door souree

Philadelphia DA is the subject of State Impeachment hearings . The state supoena'd said shitbag who responded that Harrisburg has no jurisdiction in Philly . He said he did not have to testify .

Next phase he is held in contempt . He responds by saying that it would be illegal to comment on active Grand Jury investigations . Complete bullshit as the State wants to know how he's spending tax payer law enforcement money . Further they want to know about Victim Assistance expenditures not Bullshit Grand Jurys .

Next phase State has hearing in Philly at the Naval Yard at Penn State Campus . Read as ;. Federal Property ( US Naval Yard )
State owned College . ie; no bullshit here and fuck your Brownshirt protest bullshit . Protests held across the street from Naval Yard . Krazner cries racism and change of venue . Not accessible for minorities to attend in a city where 80 percent use public transportation . Soros funded protesters say crime is rooted in poverty . " You can't hold the DA responsible for crime until you address poverty ".

Next phase Krazner cries that he was locked out of the hearings . That's right folks . The hearings that he refused to testify at held by the State Government that he told to piss up a rope .

To be clear the State came out and said not a gun violence epidemic it's Krasner . He refused to prosecute gun crime criminals . This motherfucker is pure fuckin evil .
