Just an FYI...

Vision made some updates to their chassis. These updates are backwards compatible. Unfortunately they haven't offered a midsection that removes the hump infront of the magazine well, but they have made some nice updates to the buttpad and cheek riser.

Also, new website launches earlier this week and they are offering a sale on parts and accessories.

I didn't see this discussed and thought some vision owners might be interested in some of the updates, especially at a reduced price.

Finally going to buy one. Which is the best overall one you guys have found. I don't switch powder to often but load n565 mainly then imr 7977 ramshot lrt and going to try some n570.

I know iguenity trickler is coming out with there own maybe best to wait but have money in hand.

I should add I already the fx120i scale.
Right now I load with rcbs lite then move over to fx120i scale with a dandy trickler to get final charge. Very accurate but very very slow

I am curious where you guys shooting the big boomers stop when it comes to pressure? Flat primers, Ejector mark, case head expansion, ejector swipe, heavy bolt lift.
What is your method for determining where the limit is.

Almost always in this sub peoples pictures of case head show primers flattened completely and typically ejector spot.

I'm doing load workup on a Wildcat and the ejector spot showed up sooner than expected, they are so faint I honestly wouldn't have noticed them except for the sun was straight at my back. That being said the case was definitely not completely formed to the chamber, I had only fired one mild FF load to blow out the taper and move shoulder ahead, then did a pressure ladder test. Primers look reasonable but I wanna knock them out so I can get a better look at them. bolt opened easily every time and fired brass still chambers easily. Tonight I'm going to strip my bolt so I can do a bolt handle drop test on fired brass. Case web don't seem to have expanded at all but I only had shitty calipers on hand, I'll have to wait until I get home to find out for sure.

I know it's more important how consistent it shoots I haven't gotten to group testing yet, hopefully next week.

Is the necessity of a bore guide a myth? Below is my logical argument:

Copper, nylon, bronze, and brass are softer than steel. This implies that copper, nylon, bronze, and brass cannot scratch or otherwise damage steel. Therefore, a nylon coated cleaning rod, copper fouling, bronze bristles, brushes with brass cores, and other bronze or brass pieces cannot damage the throat, crown, or any other parts of a steel barrel.

Otherwise, please tell me your logical argument as to why I should use a bore guide to prevent damage.

Found a 5.56 barrel that is 20" long- but has a carbine length gas system on it. It is a barrel that came from the manufacturer- and not aftermarket-- (the barrel is stamped "Mossberg", so not a company that you would expect to get it right when it comes to an AR.) But before I filed it away as one of the dumber things that I've seen...... Is there any purpose that it would make sense?

Hello all. Long time reader. First time poster. So I am looking to build an ar dmr type build. Was looking to max out at 600-700 yards. So I’ve been a fan of the Hk mr556 upper. I like the build quality and accuracy. However I am a lefty and like a lower with ambi controls built in. In that respect I wanted some outside input. As I have a chance at getting a hk mr556 upper. And was thinking a Daniel defense lower. As the controls are easy to manipulate for my little carnie hands. That or a precision weapons systems ambi lower. Wanted to get input as to compatibility in regards to the buffer system. Has anyone done something similar. Honestly I’m a semi experienced shooter. Have a bunch of ar’s but all direct impingement. Never had a piston gun. So don’t know if my Franken dmr project is viable. Or should I just get the dd mk12 spr upper as well and be done with it. Thanks a bunch. Y’all have a great day.
