    Re: 22/45 upgrades... Tacsol upper, threaded barrel and pic rail. I use a T1 on the rail and an AAC element screwed in front. Volquartsen action internals makes for a sweet trigger.

    Re: 22 Suppressor Host Opinions 22/45 is what I did. Tacsol upper, T1 sight, volquartsen trigger job, AAC Element can. Love this gun. Would love to do the new 22/45 with the wood grips and get some nice Spegel grips, but I'd have to redo the Volquartsen trigger work in the new frame.

    Re: 16" barrel on a .22 with a can? If I recall an article where Al Paulson progressively chopped down a 22 barrel and crono'd velocity: max velocity was in the 11 to 12 inch range. Velocity actually start to decrease after that. Barrel friction exceeded powder pressure. You should be fine...

    Re: Your Favorite 10/22 Barrel? Volquartsen THM carbon fiber. Very light. My first was a 16.5" with comp. My second was for a suppressed SBR build - using a 12" barrel custom threaded 1/2x28 and chambered for CCI Green Tag. Hogue stock and AAC Element can, the whole thing weighs 4.5 pounds...
