    22/45 upgrades...

Re: 22/45 upgrades... Tacsol upper, threaded barrel and pic rail. I use a T1 on the rail and an AAC element screwed in front. Volquartsen action internals makes for a sweet trigger.

    22 Suppressor Host Opinions

Re: 22 Suppressor Host Opinions 22/45 is what I did. Tacsol upper, T1 sight, volquartsen trigger job, AAC Element can. Love this gun. Would love to do the new 22/45 with the wood grips and get some nice Spegel grips, but I'd have to redo the Volquartsen trigger work in the new frame.

    16" barrel on a .22 with a can?

Re: 16" barrel on a .22 with a can? If I recall an article where Al Paulson progressively chopped down a 22 barrel and crono'd velocity: max velocity was in the 11 to 12 inch range. Velocity actually start to decrease after that. Barrel friction exceeded powder pressure. You should be fine...

    Your Favorite 10/22 Barrel?

Re: Your Favorite 10/22 Barrel? Volquartsen THM carbon fiber. Very light. My first was a 16.5" with comp. My second was for a suppressed SBR build - using a 12" barrel custom threaded 1/2x28 and chambered for CCI Green Tag. Hogue stock and AAC Element can, the whole thing weighs 4.5 pounds...

    22/45 Volquartson trigger question

Re: 22/45 Volquartson trigger question I have one - along with all their custom internals, but sent my 22.45 frame to them to install it all for a nominal fee .... 30 or 40 bucks. Great trigger - light and crisp. Other parts perform 100%. with a TacSol upper, this is my most reliable 22...

    .22lr semi auto pistol

Re: .22lr semi auto pistol If you want cheap, I have a S&W 22I could sell you - used, not abused. It's semi-retired as a plinker at my second house. I like the Ruger 22/45 because it has the same grip angle as the 1911. Of course, I didn't go cheap - Volquartsen trigger kit, Tactical...

    Seekins AR15 lowers...

Re: Seekins AR15 lowers... It's a damn beautiful lower to my eye, the french recurve of the magwell and trigger guard is subtle beauty. Typical beautiful Seekins CNC work too. Pricy, but what's $150, when you can have a different beauty?

Rifle Scopes "Who Would Put A Nightforce On An AR-15 ?"

Re: "Who Would Put A Nightforce On An AR-15 ?" I have a NF 2.5-10x32 and 1-4x24 on two AR uppers - 18" and 12.5", repectively. Love 'em with few criticisms.

Rifle Scopes Best 1-6x scope, USO?

Re: Best 1-6x scope, USO? Agree with the poster on the S&B 1.5-6x42. I have one on a 308 hunting rifle. Great at dawn and dusk. I think the flasdot is faster than an illum. reticle. I have a german reticle, not sure about ranging options.

Best budget beat through the woods rifle

Re: Best budget beat through the woods rifle My Remington 7600 in 30-06 works fine in the crappy weather of the VT mountains. By one on gunbroker cheap.

Rifle Scopes Optic/Mount For An SBR Build

Re: Optic/Mount For An SBR Build With all the AR15 build you are doing (it gets addictive), given your circumstances, you may wish to consider standard optics mounting solutions for the selection and variety and go with stock options. Magpul makes some great stocks with variable cheek heights...

    Rifle Scopes AR Flip-Up sights

Re: AR Flip-Up sights I started with a KAC 300M rear and loved it. Then I got a set of Troy's on a POF upper and love them. I like the idea of the new Matech sights that do not require tools. Also saw the mini-KAC rear at SHOT and like the small size. Magpul, not so much, if you mount on...

    Thoughts on the LMT .308

Re: Thoughts on the LMT .308 Handled it at SHOT. Very nice. Lower is not KAC, but takes the KAC SR25 mags. POF is making a 25 rounder. It is the MRP upper, but DI, not piston just so as you know. They did not have current plans for a piston because they are focusing on production. Regarding...

    20" AR Barrel

Re: 20" AR Barrel Given your reply, I stand by the Noveske 18" SPR barrel. Added plus, he uses a taper pin on a low-profile block instead of set screws. In stock and check it out at: Noveske 18" SPR

...another question for a "REAL" sniper

Re: ...another question for a "REAL" sniper Well, whether the real deals use subsonic 22LR or not, I have a bunch of rifles and pistols and suppressors in 22LR. Very useful for practice and fun. My brother-in-law pops red squirrels with one (I don't kill what I won't eat). 100M and 200M...

    20" AR Barrel

Re: 20" AR Barrel Are you looking for a complete upper or just a barrel? Because you have a lot of options in building an upper beyond barrel choice .... forerails, DI or piston, FH or comp, M4 ramps, etc. Think Noveske Rifleworks and LaRue Tactical. I have a 16" and an 18" and they are 1/2...

    .308 vs. .338

Re: .308 vs. .338 If you have neither, and are looking to get into beyond 300M target shooting, I'd suggest starting with a 308 (I did). You'll get more trigger time to develop the art of the long shot. Shooting a 338 at less than 300M seems a waste and I don't have ready access to 600 -...

    Which AR lower

Re: Which AR lower Not all lowers are equal. Yes there are a few forges popping out lowers for the majority of ARF makers. I have quite a few ARFs and after a while, tended to look for less run of the mill stuff. There are a few distinguished: POF, the Seekins and LaRue - billet-licious. I...

    AI or custom build

Re: AI or custom build Is user-caliber change not a benefit of AW and AE Mk2 platforms? If I can take a gun from 308 to any bolt face diameter cartridge with a barrel swap, that strikes me a big plus as a hobbyist-doodler (OK, I never confessed to be an "operator" or deployed to the...
