    I looked through bout the S&B and the Gen 2 Vortex over the last week and given the price difference, there is no contest. I would go with the Vortex. No experience with the Beast.

    I am not sure on the anwser to your question, but becarefull because the 7.62 SCAR's are notoriously hard on optics.

    While there are lots of good suggestions of quality kit above, if you are looking for a quality bag that is similar capacity and shape of what you have now with a good organization layout, I would look at the Emdom USA fatty wide load.

    I have no experiance with a Sniper Ops tri-pod and have been around the block enough to say that NOTHING is infact "grunt proof"... That said, a carbon fiber Monfrotto is pretty close to the top of most people's list for a reason. I am very happy with mine.
