Re: Restoring 1943 Remington Rand Thats what I have been thinking, Its not the rarest of the WWII 1911s so why not make it a shooter? Its in original condition I just need to have the chrome stripped. The reason I want a new slide is so I dont have to cut this one for new sights. Just think...
Been awhile but Ive come back for some advice. I have a 1943 Remington rand handed down to me and over the years someone in all their wisdom decided to chrome plate it and do the controls in gold. Its far from original. Would it be the end of the world to refinish the "property of US...
Re: Teen faces 2 yrs in big house for killing hamster oh wow the world we live in, anyone ever fed a hungry reticulating ball python that only eats freshly killed mice.
Re: new to m1a sadlak or SEI for bases. DO NOT buy a SA base they are junk. and like stated above you can invest a small car into these rifles just to get to the 1MOA mark. if precision is your game and I have been down this road buy a AR in 308 that is half the price and shoots twice as accurate
Re: Guns: Wish you had, wish you skipped Wish I never bought: Kimber 1911 TLE/RL11 Sporting Clays shotguns worth more than AI's and resell worse then remingtons FN TPS Weatherby deer rifles, because that deer doesnt care how expensive of a rifle you shoot it with the end results are the same...
Re: Bushmaster ACR 2500 or so buys a really sweet and very accurate AR15, what is the use of this rifle? if any type of precision work is needed I would look at building you a AR15 the way you want it. Having fondled both I do prefer the scar to the acr.
Re: I think I am done with UPS..... i have hardly ever run into issues with USPS, cant beat there priority mail pricing either. typically half of what UPS 3 day is
Re: Am I stupid for doing this? good choice, alot of sps shoot great from the factory. Ive been going down this road as well but I would opt for the AAC version of the SPS for the 1:10 twist. shoot it and see what happens and the stock and BM you buy for this rifle will work on a custom 700...
Just got a 5R take off for a shillen #7 308, front bolt will not go in the receiver so im assuming the barrel is to big for the stock inletting. is this something I need to send off to do or just it just need to be opened up alittle?
Re: Which reticle for NXS compact with .mil turrets no MLR on the 2.5-10 as far as I know as of right now. alot of new things are around the corner for NF. and one of the reasons I have not bought a 2.5-10 yet is because of the limited reticle choices. But since you asked mildot as the NPR...
Re: Is TPS still in business?? just got a TPS 20 moa from swfa last week with out issues. never tried contacting them directly. its a good looking base though
I bought a barreled and trued remmy off here and Im taking it to the range this weekend. the previous owner didn't know much about it and either do I. opinions for precautions take this rifle out? its on a '78 receiver and has a claimed 400-500 rounds through it. im thinking a factory ammo...
Re: Slide Stop Extension 1911 nice firm grip on the top of the slide to release it when locked back. no need for extended pieces that make your weapon wider. a slide stop is not the way that I release the slide so I am no need for bigger controls in that area
Re: Anyone Run a 2.5-10 on there stick? 3-15, loose virtually nothing on the low end and gain 50% more magnification on the top end. If size and weight is what you are going for that the 2.5-10 is 11oz lighter and smaller, which would be nice for a lightweight rifle but if you are already at...
Re: Remington 870 After talking to a Remington armorer who has attended the class, been through the manufacturing facility and has build many shotguns. I picked up a Remington 25077 870 for 315. From what he says here is the differences in a nutshell. Composite versus metal trigger guard...
Are these worth anything? Im looking at getting one for around 200 just for unknown distances and I want to make sure they are decent, Im still looking for a scan model but they are 350ish
