After feeling like shit and having a temperature of 100.8 -101 for three days, I self tested Positive for Covid. Dr. prescribed a Z-pac and a steroid and my temps returned to normal. I restested Negative yesterday but now I'm having trouble sleeping, having a racing heart tossing, turning, wide awake.

My heart rate is now less than 53, too low, my BP I just tested after getting out of bed was 146/88, (hyperstension).

So I Met a guy at the recent collector association gunshow, turns out it’s who I got my vickers display gun from that I turned into a live semi auto. This guy owns a gun shop business on the east coast and travels a lot buying cool and interesting stuff from auctions, estates and the like. We exchange numbers and been chatting back and forth.

Long story short he had this rifle and we worked out a trade, I just wanted a nice example of a 1903 since I had dumbassedly traded off or sold the ones I’ve had over the years. Pics of it looked like it was really nice and the sights seemed interesting so we worked out a deal, of which I felt like he was asking way too high but I wanted it so oh well.

I get the rifle, and it’s beautiful, I’m happy.

I'm putting together my first centerfire rifle and I'm stuck choosing dies. I've reloaded pistol on a Dillon 550 and 1100 for years. But I'm starting at zero when it comes to rifle gear.

I've got an Origin action and Bravo stock, and ordered barrels in .223 and 6 Dasher. I'm getting together everything I need, including a Rockchucker, and I've spent hours reading about dies, but I'm still lost. I'm sinking into paralysis by analysis here.

It sounds like I need a full length sizing die, with a bushing for the neck? A seating die, and some kind of button or mandrel to size the inside of the neck? But there are 6 or 8 different companies making dies, and they all seem to make 8 different sets of each caliber.

Someone just tell me what to buy...

I'm currently working on a Google Sheets document to keep track of my rifle barrel round counts.

What I'm trying to figure out, is how to create a formula that keeps track of round count for each barrel after the previous time it was cleaned. I'm guessing it's going to be a formula involving multiple 'IF' statements, but can't figure out how it will work/reset after a barrel is cleaned and to only sum up the round count from the last cleaning.

I only had the presence of mind to Google his text after I'd sent irreversible payment because of the account having good feedback and history.

I bought a Havoc Bravo in 6.5 PRC, and it has the worst action of any rifle I have ever bought at any price. I was reading, a little too late unfortunately about this issue in several rifle magazines and I was curious if anyone has a solution to this problem. I have only fired about 100 rounds so far but there is no sign of it getting any better. I took it to a Smith, and he just said to cycle it a lot and maybe it will get better, ha...

Im in the market. Im not super operator/Ninja/Seal/Killer Diller Miller. I dont have to have the absolute best at any price to be discarded or sold when the next new absolute best comes along. I just need a good, serviceable, unit at a fair price.

Ive looked at Atlas, Accu tec, and Magpul. For the money the Magpul seems to do what its supposed to do without frills and a lot of expense, but not having used it Im not sure if its worth the money. What would the 3X as pricey ones give me that the Magpul wont?


Also, are the Arca and Picatinny interchangeable?

I've seen just about every thread on here where some is asking a similar question to what I am. However, I am hoping that this thread will give me a little bit of info/direction that the others haven't. I've got a few 308 and 6.5 creedmoor rifles that I have taken the 308 and 6.5 out to 1200 yards with success. However, the range I am at goes to 2000 yards (JTAC Ranch) and I find myself wanting something that is well suited to go from 1200 to 2000 yards and do it efficiently, be the right tool for the job, and also show impacts downrange. It seems like the suggestions for this are always the 300 prc, 300 norma, and 338 lapua. Lately I've been thinking of getting a Rpr in 300 prc or 338 lapua. Are there any other factory guns in that $1500 to $2000 ish range I should consider? Are there any factory guns in that price range which are chambered in 300 Norma? I have thought about going the semi custom route which I think would start at around the $2000 mark. I've also thought about waiting a bit, saving up, and getting an older ai ax in 338 lapua, shoot it for a while in that and then rebarel it to 300 Norma. I know this would be more expensive but not sure how much more. I only make it out to do JTAC maybe 5 times a year so am hesitant to put $3000+ into this but I am still figuring this out so who knows. (My home range goes up to 600 yards.) I do reload and have a 4-29x56 Cronus to put atop the gun. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
