    What's your favorite factory .308?

Re: What's your favorite factory .308? Ga arms 175match. Its a 175smk with lake city match brass and follows the FGMM recipe as far as powder, primer, bullet etc... Its 40$ for 50rds and shoots just as good as FGMM out of my rifles.

    Where would you send it

Re: Where would you send it I would add Accurate Ordnance to that list and if time is a concern they might be a bit quicker then some of the others and are definitely a lot quicker then a lot in that list. They will all do you a good quality job (the ones listed).

300 win mag vs 300 RUM

Re: 300 win mag vs 300 RUM I have both and I would recommend the RUM over the WM hands down for ELR situations but for your set of requirements the WM is a no brainier. It is much better on barrel life, powder, recoil especial with no brake (I would not shot a rum without a brake)and cost...

reminton 700 in 300 RUM questions

Re: reminton 700 in 300 RUM questions 300 RUM and tight budget do not go well together. You know shooting that rifle at not only 100 but anything under 800 is a real waste. You may get 1k rounds out of the barrel with the good stuff if your cautious with your heat and cleaning. I would...

Ammo question: M118LR vs FGMM 175

Re: Ammo question: M118LR vs FGMM 175 Agree although most of mine is a bit older 118lr shoots just fine for me. Holds 1/2 moa all the way out. If I am shooting factory ammo the ga arms 175 match is about the best cheap way to keep good accuracy in bulk for my rifles.

    Rem SPS stock upgrade

Re: Rem SPS stock upgrade You can have a smith reinforce the houge overmold and make it a lot better. For a truck gun so long as you don't use a bipod and shoot it off bags or a pack mine shoots well with the crappy houge. I am just going to reinforce it an let it ride.

What 300RUM to try first in my new R700?

Re: What 300RUM to try first in my new R700? Mine shoots the heavy stuff a lot better. I would try the 180s first and when you reload try out the 208 amaxs with retumbo that's my pet load past 1k.

    Stockys Stocks

Re: Stockys Stocks Stockys sucks if you need to talk with them or if they ship the wring thing as they offton do. I ordered a rem model 7 wood replacement from them and it was fine. Suppressors Bark River knives and A2 steel

Re: Bark River knives and A2 steel I have a bravo 1 from BRK that is made from A2. One of the best blades I own and I have quite a few. Cleaned four deer, baton more then a few 3" or so diameter trees and is still hair popping sharp. not sure how well it would take an edge since I have never...

Storm vs. SKB double rifle case

Re: Storm vs. SKB double rifle case I own both although my SKB is the bigger version. They are both great cases and either will work fine. I like the locks and hinges on the storm much much better. To be fair though after a few trips to Africa and ten + years the SKB has held up just fine...

Hunting & Fishing Optic power to hunt at 800 yds

Re: Optic power to hunt at 800 yds I have no problem with hunting long range at all. I actually prefer it and with some hunts like a Dall Ram chances are good the shot will be long. I don't understand the more modern view of I need 20X to shoot 500Y on a hunting rifle or any rifle for that...

Stick Ons by Impact Data Books

Re: Stick Ons by Impact Data Books love mine, I wasn't a fan of my dope hanging off the scope and swinging around. They are quick convenient and out of the way, I keep dope for a few different weight bullets in the stock pack and just swap out as needed. So simple yet so convenient!
