Well, Mark posted up his new build and I thought I would do the same. If any of you are having reservations on the new .264 LBC-AR chamber, dont.....they are tac drivers. I dont feel like getting in a pissing contest about the Grendel deal but long story short, I wanted to chamber my own barrel...

My .264 LBC AR !!!!! Pics and experiences

Re: My .264 LBC AR !!!!! Pics and experiences Mark, Great looking rig and I agree 100% that the LBC was the way to go. MIne is hands down more forgiving and more accurate than the two "Official" Grendel chambered rifles I own. For others, I have found that my 18" LBC chambered Bartlein...

I can't fine custom rifle bolts anywhere!

Re: I can't fine custom rifle bolts anywhere! As said above give PTG a call. They are about 8 weeks wait right now. You can get the body only or the new style with the integral ( one piece ) handle / bolt. If you want top shelf accuracy, this is about the best way to go in my opinion. You...

    Gunsmithing New Bolt Installation

Re: New Bolt Installation Correct. It will need to be headspaced, or at least checked, you may get lucky. Try PTG for the replacement bolt or use a pull out remmy ( I assume that is what you are working on ). If you need a pull out remington, send me a PM, I may be able to help you out. I...

Gunsmithing To bed an action or not

Re: To bed an action or not Old Salt, I have ran several of the Manners ( Badger ) Mini Chassis, I have had excellent luck with all of them, Tom and Badger both make great products. When I got my first mini chassis, I shot it without bedding and compared the difference after bedding, it...

Gunsmithing Putting on a new stock/problem with bedding

Re: Putting on a new stock It sounds to me like the bedding was done off center ( the action was not centered with the center line of the stock ). This will cause the trigger to set up against the trigger gaurd on one side or the other in extreme cases. Make sure you removed the old bedding...
