Re: Is this rifle a good buy? please give input Buy it, you rally can't go wrong. Can you see it face to face 1st? brush up on your Leupold knock off's and take a look, even if it is a fake which I doubt, your still not losing any $ on the rifle, heck you might even like the gun and decide to...
Re: Remington 700 Sendero? I got my 7mm when they first came out in the early 90's the barrel is marked Sendero "Special", I put the stock on it and adjusted the factory trigger, it shoots nice.
Re: Repairable? Seems to be in the wrong Forum being a semi auto shotgun, nice explanation to the problem, but does the bur affect the cycling of the bolt? if you were to remove the bur would the bolt still function or bind? or are you pissed that your anodizing is marred inside your action...
Re: Anyone ever hear of this, I may do this, There might be some legal issues going below 16 inches. The shorter you go the more velocity you lose. Curt
Re: ar15 buffer tube problem Lightly and evenly pass a machinist file over the threads of the buffer tube, it might knock the "peaks" down enough to fit into the receiver. Curt
Re: Best Floor Plate Bottom Metal for Rem. 700 SA I agree with the above comment. Factory Bottom metal works for me, never had a malfunction in over 20 years. Curt
Re: Long Range 16inch .308?? Sense you have a Savage, why not buy a new barrel for it? You can always go back to the short one once you finish the class and hone the skills they taught you. Curt

Re: Usama Bin Laden raid and death So I wonder who gets to keep "The" trophy? Osama's signature AK-47, If I was the shooter you couldn't pry that from my hands.
Re: Need advice Take the $1000 budget and invest in reloading equipment, find an accurate load for it then go from there. I think the first mod to the gun would be to bed it.adjust the stock trigger, (there are online tutorials)and just make sure everything has been installed correctly (rings...
Re: 223 barral twist With the 1-12 twist your going to have to stay in the 55-60gr range, you can't go much heavier. 1/7 or 1/9 would have been better. Curt
Re: tactical bolt knob on "light"big game/coyote rig I just put a EGW knob on my Savage, I like it but I noticed that due to it's added length,I have a tendency to put allot of side load on it while cocking, I'll have to get used to it. But on my Remingtons I see no need for one. Curt
Re: can a newbie build a boltgun from parts? I'd go with the Savage also, about anything you can buy for a Remington is available for the Savage. And if you know what you have there should be no confusion in ordering parts. Curt
Re: my new 260 rem I think if you had a Smith build the rifle then the Smith should have made sure it cycled before he handed it over to you. I'd give him a call and have them take a look at it. Curt
Re: Pre-purchasing a Rifle? It's like a 16 year old that just got his licence to drive, should I get the Ferrari or the Porsche.... First what type of shooting do you plan to do, what were the "smaller Guns" of your brothers that you shot. Your question leaves allot of speculation to what...
Re: what caliber should i go with???? Realistically it looks like 95% of your shooting will be in the 200yrd range, there for I'd get the .223. I'd get the Savage in .223, it'll be far cheaper to change calibres once you decide to go bigger, you can pick up a used model 10 .308 barrel for...
Re: Things I would like to see made, but cannot find.. I know they make compact light weight tool kits forbicycle riders. But I'd just throw the allens I need in a small zip-loc and put it in my pocket or stock pack, also the IDF tactical slings have a small pocket on them to supposedly hold...
