I have a flattop AR carbine and want to mount a scope on it for hunting. It seems that standard rings are way to low and so I either need a much taller set of rings or some sort of a spacer block so the standard rings will work. Can anyone help me on this?

I was speaking with Krieger barrels and they said that if the bolt is chromed, there MAY be insufficient headspace with the barrel. The reasoning being that if the bolt is made to milspec, and then chromed, the chrome will eat some headspace. I have a Young Mfg National Match Chrome Bolt...

im looking at buying a match grade ar barrel and most come with a matched bolt. im being told by some vetern shooters i can neck size with that setup.is there any more opinions on this logic.
