I tried multiple searches to find the recommended torque spec for a Badger M5 on a McMillan, but only found one posts that recommended "53 in. pounds" and "60 in. pounds". Can someone assist? It's pillar bedded if that changes anything.
Well I got out and tested a couple of different loads today with my new APA (aka, Patriot Arms) 308win. I am very pleased with the way the rifle is shooting. It shoots about any 168grn SMK load that I put in it with great results.
Specs;
Badger Ordnance Short Action
Schnieder USMC Spec Barrel...
can anyone who hasn't mounted one, take a close up picture of the underside of the badger ordnance scope base. I have a seekins that is TECHNICALLY ambidextrous, but it has flaring only on the right side for right handed individuals.
Hi, I am new to long range shooting and I love it.I have question that I hope somebody can answer for me. I just purchased a Rem. SA PSS HS Precision stock, but no bottom metal, I was wondering if it's possible to use the Badger DM Bottom metal with this stock?
I finally got my McMillan A5 in Tuesday and attempted to install a Badger M5. Everything went smooth until I noticed the stock is not cut for the Badger pillars and the rear bolt sticks out about 3/8 of a inch!!! I have called and emailed McMillan and Badger but no answers yet. Has this happen...
Anyone know if a .308 barrel which has already been treaded and fitted to a Remy 700 can be re-fitted to the Badger M2008 SA? If so, is it a straight swap or does the treading need to be extended or completely redone?
Also, would it need to be rechanbered?
Well I thought I would post my pics of my 3 most current builds. I was lucky and got in on the Valkyrie build in 260 Remington. And then near the delivery date George posted one for sale in 6.5x47 and I scooped it up as well. He did the 260 in Desert Flectarn camo and I spec'd the AAC suppressor...
I am looking at getting a M5 triggerguard soon and I was wondering what kind of mess I will be getting myself into.
I currently have a R700 short action skim bedded into a H-S Precision Tactical stock.
I see that it comes with bedding pillars.
Will I have to re-bed my rifle inorder to install...
I am picking up a new stock that has the inlet for a Badger M4. How much work would it take to fit the detachable M5 in that stock instead?
Thanks,
George
I purchased a new Badger M5 from another member who never installed it. I noticed when I tried to mount it that the rear torx bolt was way too long (2"). The front one fits fine. I am fairly confident that these were the ones that originally came from Badger. Could it be just a mix up or am I...
I went through Badger's online instructions, and just want to verify:
<ul style="list-style-type: disc">Clean base and top of 700 receiver (and screw holes) with solvent (is 90% Isopropyl alcohol OK?)Put red loctite on bottom of baseMount rail on receiver, check that all screws don't bottom...
I am just about to send my Rem700 VLS to get the barrel threaded, but noticed the clamp-on feature of the Badger FTE brake. This brake is also threaded right? If so, I will get my Rem700 threaded to 5/8x24 like my other .308s
I've been having problems with sticky brass in my Remy 700 and hit the badger bolt knob a few too many times with my triad tactical rear bag. One really good pull on a stuck case and that sucker popped right off.
I was pissed off and disappointed with the crappy way the badger is attached...
Can anyone tell me the screw sizes for the Badger Ord rings? Had a set given to me; however two of the screwheads are buggered up. I think they are 8-40's but I don't know the length. Any help would be appreciated.
