Just curious as to what load seems to be the best with 139 lapua in a 26" barrel, surgeon action?

Has anyone used a Tubb Brake on there 260 build? Picked up a brux barrel today to use as my light weight rig in 260. I would like to run a brake on this sucker. I had one put on my 243win gap setup but wont see it for awhile.

Hey guys, This topic has come up a few times and I'm curious to say the least. The topic is this caliber and how its better suited to shoot out to 1000y in competition. Why is the .260 better than the .308 in this aspect? I mean it's a smaller round and lighter, so why better. Thanks. R.

Just returned from the range. Tried 38.8, 39.2, 39.6, 40.0m and 40.4 of N550 and 139 Scenars from a JP rifle. The 40 and 40.4 gave the best groups with avg. velocity of 2528 and 2570 respectively. Is the velocity enought or should I try for more. Thanks, Lance
